The hole is now all the way to the bottom, the core of the building ( elevator shafts ) will be in this part, the rest of the lot ( from slip to river, from townhomes to LSD ) will be the underground parking.
Very interesting... and thanks btw harryc

By the way, I think is building will be very good looking and the location has to be one of the best in the world. I only wish I could afford to live there.

What is happening? There has been absolutely no activity for the last week.

When will the next stage in construction begin?

I'm being serious now.

now I can't agree with that. There nothing ugly about this building. I like the first design but this one gives you so much more building. Seeing I'm a new yorker I don't have a problem with them building it, since I don't have to see it. But I'm telling you I wish I could. I might be able to see it from my home town in columbus ohio.

Of course you couldn't see it from Ohio, but I did the calculations on it and found that your line of sight from the top of the Spire allows you to see across Lake Michigan to the west coast of Michigan. Although actually seeing anything would be impossible because atmospheric aberrations would scatter any light from that distance.

Have those cranes standing on the left side of the core moved recently? and is this project currently inactive and waiting for the next stage or are there still construction activities?

The red crane has been in action this week ( tracks were pretty clear on the morning of the 15th ). The other 2 have not been moved this week AFAIK.

Even though the height will set a record for the US i don't like the building.

Let me just say, I wouldn't mind the views from uptop I feel this was a wasted oppurtunity; the chance to build a beautiful building screwed up. The design bugs me; there are no set backs and it reminds me on a partial candy cane. I also don't think it will compliment the skyline: just my oppinion.

Also: Yes I have bashed alot of projects recently, but only the ones i find hideous or unappealing. Thanks for being mature, unlike HARBORIST...haha im still laughing... a troll?

I'm sorry I am indeciesive...Ive gone back and forth on this project. that said, I would never post anything I don't mean, and I really don't like the design. Yes it is cool, the new tallest building in the US, but the design is not my favorite. I don't see a need for you to say dumb things; calling me stupid and saying im trolling.
