Yes, if you are in a city you have to use ever single piece of land because that's why it's a big city! You think any piece of real estate would just be left empty?

A park can't draw nearly as much money as this tower and this site is a terrible place for a park. Just look at it. Who wants a park right next to a raised highway?

I wouldn't worry too much about a cancellation of this tower. In case you don't remember, IFC in Hong Kong and SWFC in Shanghai were both put on hold due to the Asian economic crisis in the late 90s, but they both started back up again a few years later. If you have trustworthy investors who really want to see it built and you've already made this kind of progress on site then it would be a tough decision indeed to completely cancel construction.

Sometimes black & white photography is so much more expressive than color. You can tell Harry is a very skilled photographer in any event.

Has anyone seen any of these buildings in the new Batman movie? I've heard that they filmed that movie in the streets of Chicago?

I'm think the Chicago Spire will be not a Sky-Craper, but a Underground-craper

Yes you can clearly see, and Identify Trump Tower in The Dark Knight. Chicago is clearly featured and much of it easily identifiable.

The one with the square hole is the AMA (Drs Assoc) building. Shows what you can do when every professional MUST join your organization. The ABA (Lawyers Assoc) must convince lawyers to join, so we wound up buying a used building from Quaker Oats.

AMA as seen from ABA

it will take forever to rise and may not even do that, but don't worry mate you'll soon see progress surronding the core.

You asked for pictures of the site, of which the most recent were near the top of the page you asked on. If you wanted to view your post, you would have had to scroll past what you were asking for.

The other user asked when this will rise. As far as I know, there's some utility work to be done which will not be visible. Then it's a matter of time...
