The one with the square hole is the AMA (Drs Assoc) building. Shows what you can do when every professional MUST join your organization. The ABA (Lawyers Assoc) must convince lawyers to join, so we wound up buying a used building from Quaker Oats.

AMA as seen from ABA
sweet thanks for the info. For some reason I like that building.

Is this thing honestly going to be finished by 2010?It seems like it hasn't even started and were almost in 2009.Is it even possible to complete a 2000 ft tower in less than 2 years?

too much complaining

So many people saying the Spire takes too long, or it won't rise or whatever.
C'mon here gang, that's the way NIMBYs think.

A 2,000 foot monster, especially one as complex as the CS can't be built overnight. It will take time.
The financial meltdown will slow the project, but something of the caliber of the Spire will rise... maybe not in the time frame we would like.

Patience!

Hasn't even started? The foundation is already essentially completed. It's been reburied so you can't see it now but it's there. Once this does get above ground they are going to use innovative prefabrication techniques to make the actual erection process go much faster than a building this big could be built using conventional means.

Could somebody tell me when the building is going to be finished? Probably, the answer is somewhere on this topic, but it's easier to find it out this way
Thank you very much!

What gave it away? How do you know they are not using some type of invisible construction materials? They could be half way up by now!

Does anyone keep a track how long has passed since the core structure was completed?

All the caissons have already been completed, the tops of them have just been buried so you can't see them.
