I guess I'm the only one that isn't a huge fan of the project. I think the Burj Al Alam in Dubai has a similar architecture and is about 1,000 times better.

I would bet you'd change your mind standing in front of it looking up.

An environmental group complaining about an LEED-Certified Gold building? Way to undermine your own efforts, guys. (perhaps we should build the Spire out of hemp and bamboo...)

The site appears to be very muddy. I don't remember it looking like that last winter...

i had a meeting at thornton tomasetti last week and the spire came up in conversation....bottom line: this project is dead.

the only hope is someone buying out the entire deal. but if it does get built, it will be about a 1/3 of the scope of the original design.

Well things don't look to swell for the Irish banking industry right now, I expect that this tower will be on hold for a long while... which is too bad, this tower was set to redefine the skyline of Chicago! Such a great city, and it would look amazing with this tower.....

It'll get built eventually. This recession will end... hopefully soon but probably not for a while. I'll be glad when it is back online for sure.

guys, I got it, I've figured it out! The reason we haven't seen any construction in so long is not because of the economy, it;s that they've secretly been building the spire underground! Soon the spire will ascend out of the hole, fully completed! I know it, it has to be true!
