you realize the economics of this one will require the entire Chicgo Forum to have to move into that unit to help pay for it. Now I realize that might have worked at Jane Byrne's condo in the Greeens of Cabrini Green, but at Chicago Spire....c'mon!

I wish we could all throw in and buy (1) condo in the spire. I will go on record to say that I want a view of the city and not the lake, if it comes down to it. Also, I honestly wish I had the chance to experience the S curve, even though the general consensus is that it was a hassle.

That's the site, in front where the backhoe is. And yes, the building will be more than adequately secured to the ground. The caissons will be drilled hundreds of feet into the bedrock. Not sure of the exact distance, but it'll be mucho deepo.

let's get one thing clear here, Chi: i'm getting a bed room of my own.

Sad to say that we have lost our two greatest thrill rides in Chicago: the S curve and the Bobs at Riverview. Three, if you count the scariest of them all:the old ride down Division Street past Carbrini Green.

I think this version is even better than the original. Can our city be so lucky?

Both verisons are not looking right to me at all. Look at the height of John Hanock is too low at both of visions. Also Asco Tower (spelling?) is missing at both versions. The Chicago Spire is way too short at both versions. Both of versions need to be fixed and make it look more realistic without errors.

No, they're probably correct. If I trust anyone's renderings, I'd trust STR's for at least the correct proportions. I don't remember what software he uses, but it's certainly not something as simple of Paint or Photoshop.

The earlier versions seem even more of a drill bit (but they looked good anyway).
