dont they usualy wait untill after the cassion drilling and foundation pouring befor they bring in the cranes?

Not if they have to lift equipment off of barges.

I imagine CS will make heavy use of barges, especially since North Water Street is so narrow. Trucks aren't allowed on LSD, either, so even once the ramps are built, most stuff will still arrive by barge.

I would have believed it. You'd be surprised how pathetically little I know about construction. I didn't even know what a friggin caisson was until I joined these forums. That's what makes this so educational!

That you witnessed the start of this tower will be something you can tell your children and grandchildren about. Not too many buildings like this will be built.

I wouldn't be surprised if they made some exceptions to the LSD rules for truck traffic as it pertains to CS construction.

so the SPIRE will become worlds tallest flats on completion. it will overtake 414m princess tower in dubai? does everyone thing 600m is nearing max height for an all-resi tower?
this will be amazing to watch get built
