The guy laughed when I mentioned the financing issue. He said...that all the money is in place. Case would NOT be on site if the money wasn't secured. He also stated that Kelleher has them on a very aggressive schedule. He's also a real ball buster.

This is really happening! Chicago will have a 2000 foot tower by 2010.

I think we we all expecting a Trump like ground breaking........The difference is that it's in Trump's nature to sensationalize everything.

WOW! I'm impressed about the speed of process of Chicago Spire! That is very rarely for ones of these WTBs. I'm excited for Chicago!

Ok let's see how long this sucker takes with its foundation work and then let's compare it to the freedom tower.

Has anyone else noticed that the new render shows fewer sides to the structure? Like 5 instead of 7 or something

I thing.... engineers thought that the structure will be more stronger with 5 insted than with 7.... the torso is still there.. and the structure will be more safe and with a better definition of the torso too...!!..... so Im agree with the new insted...but my question is....... this structure has or... will be in the chicago's council office again???...... or it still approved and expected to be under-construccion this summer....?...

completion percentage for the Spire

This question is mainly directed for a Mr. Geoff Diamond, but obviously everyone else's opinion is greatly appreciated and encouraged...

Geoff, a few weeks ago, you had this to say in response to my question about a general completion % for a particular building once caissons are dilled:

"I would say that caisson drilling indicates about a 95-99% chance of the tower being completed."

How does your answer change, if at all, regarding the caisson drilling for the Spire, which appears to now be imminent?

are you suggesting this ground breaking won't begin with a gigantic combover and the lighting of an enormous flame which, when lit, will be told "you're fired" as a massive balloon in the shape of rosie is thrown into the flame?
