This is wonderful for NOLA and is basically a 1,000 footer. Projects like these and the Saints will have that city back on top in no time!

I love how it's a green building about 10 floors up. I love how they're adding brush to the tops of buildings nowadays.

Is that the word? We're a city of 200K? It's more about metro...we're still recoverying, but, within 20 miles of Downtown New Orleans the pop. is about 1.5 million. I heard last week at the Young Leadership Council of New Orleans meeting that the city is, now, around 310,000. So..we're inching up. Alot of areas flooded deep. It's hard to rebuild, but, we're doing it...

New Orleans has a LOT fewer residents than it did previously, and the metro area is only among the small to mid-size at this point but that doesn't take away from its sheer greatness as a truly unique and wonderful place.

Are there going to be a parade of skyscrapers and residents? No. But sometimes that's a GOOD thing.

New Orleans does have a LOT fewer residents than it did previously...half the city flooded. But, what's the big deal, if about 90% of those residents only live about 10 miles away from the city, now? They're still here. Yes, the poor are stuck in Houston and Atlanta, but, that's because the Federal Government is tearing down the projects. In any case I'm here, I see everything daily, and I'm very satisified with the recovery. For those that think it is taking a long time, I always have to ask..."What are you comparing it to?"
As for a "parade of skyscrapers," I don't see it either...nothing like Miami has seen, but, we do have these to look forward to...here's a little pictorial summary of some projects on the way.... http://www.hornetsreport.com/HRForum...ad.php?t=34500

This is a wonderful project for the city of New Orleans, Mr. Trump is a great investor for doing all the investment in New Orleans and in other part of the world.

It's a parking lot. Nothing exciting. The monthly contracts were supposed to expire at the end of 2006, but, that was when construction was to begin in April. I drove by the site a couple of days ago and there are 3 12 foot signs of the tower at various corners of the parking lot, and one, huge 2 story sign pasted on a building at the end of the parking lot, of the tower. There were still cars parked there.

Yes, it's very simliar to Chicago's, but New Orleans needs those buildings to forget what happened one year and a half ago

Well insted of building in the areas that are going to flood again they should just build more scrapers, for people to live in.

They fixed what was broken, i think their upgrading the levies, but their still not fool proof. I think Katrina will be forgotten about before they come up with an expensive fix like in Holland.

wow, you'd think that'd be high on the priority list. That said, with a person like Bush in power, sense isn't important.
