It´s just in the render looks like they are green, actually the real color of the facade is clear blue.

If it doesn´t qualifies as tallest residential, there isn´t a category? how about tallest mixed use instead, someone has to know abut this.

If it has a hotel is not a Residential Tower anymore.

The direct competitor will be Dubai's Marina101 that is half Hotel (Crownee Plazza) but is 412 meters tall.

Which will be completed first, will see: So bring it on!

Yeah I know that, that´s what I´m saying, according to Emporis it is a Mix use skyscraper, that means it will be the tallest mix use building in America and second tallest of the world after Dubai´s Marina 101

Other thing, by the recent pictures (may 18th 2007) of the Dubai Marina 101, it appears as they are way behind the Ice Tower... (you should check the recent updates on the panamenian forum), so my guess is Ice Tower will have his reign as the tallest mix use (hotel/residential) tower of the world for a while.

The foundation seems way too small for a 390 meter tower. Is it getting any bigger than it is at the moment? If not, there won't be much floor space, what with stairwells and elevator shafts.

Also, why was the height raised to 390m from 381? I think the symbolism of South America's first 300m+ tower reflecting the height of ESB was really neat.

His height never had anything to do with the ESB, was just a coincidence, not everyone (including promoters of this builiding) are all that informed of buildings height as people in this forum, and personally I prefer it taller than the ESB don´t know why... (yeah is gonna be taller!!!! ), the reason why they increase the height was because two more floors were added to the Hilton Hotel, and about the foundation that´s not all the area of the building, the same question was made by me a couple of weeks ago and the answer was that what you see is just the basements and core of the building, it will have much more area when it goes up, this one is not a thin tower, you can be sure about that.

Okay, thanks for the info.

Also, out of curiosity, is it customary in Panama to call buildings or other things "he," as you did? In the U.S., most people call inanimate objects "it" unless they're trying to be affectionate in which case they say "she."

Just wondering.

Propably is just related to the fact English is not their native language. I also sometime mix up "he" with "it"

Wow, great skyline, just one question.. what's that builiding on the left with the disk shape at the top, I've seen no threads about this building in the forum, or perhaps I'm not searching well enough

That building you mention was the old design of the 356m tall "Palacio de la Bahía", due to problems with the design it suffer mayor design changes, here is the new Palacio de la Bahía, a little shorter but still above 300m:

It is still a bit controversial design, but it´s starting to grow more on me, what I still don´t like is the base of it.
