What I mean is, do you have to be a millionaire to live in Dubai or can you have a decent paying job and still live a good life in Dubai.

Nice construction photos! This one is going to look incredible when it is completed.

Do you always have to critisise comments- that's all I see you do.
Instead, you could for example answer his question.

If I didn't know the answer, I wouldn't have asked the question.. Dubai seems like a rich place to live but then again I could be wrong. So I'm just curious is all. Plus, it seems like a paradise to live in especially in a few years when the city gets a little more green with all the different projects under construction at the moment, like the surroundings of the Burj Dubai.

It's a common miss belief that Dubai is the place where only super rich lives followed by a army of slaves serving them. Dubai is still a city and as every other city needs and have every category of people, from low (and not well treated) servants and blue-collar workers, low-middle class, middle class, upper-middle class, upper class, to super-rich.

I have been for so long to this forum, and have seen so many disinformations, jealousy and hatred thrown around, so "forgive" me for not responding for the thousand time to a beaten to death topic.

I think I get it... in the old city of Dubai, you might find all social colours. But what about the new CBD's? I wonder if there are highrise apartments in Dubai Marina a middle-class family can afford... that would be awesome.

Googling around for Ocean Heights, I found attributes like "exclusive" and "luxurious", and prices from 300.000 $ up for a single-room apartment. This tower is designated for upper-class, I guess.

Dubai Marina is one of the most expensive areas in Dubai.

I expect prices may have dropped a bit now - with the credit crunch, but maybe this has not affected Dubai so much?

Dubai is currently canceling up to 1,500 work permits every day in the construction sector. I'd definitely say they are being affected :-)
