impressive height and slimness...but overall i think dubai Marina towers' cladding should be a bit more diverse and inventive....maybe 2 or 3 100% shiny-reflective glass walls here and there would be good instead of this uniform mix of bland facades...

Jay, we already know that as a gay guy you don't like this part of the World, so there's no point to keep reminding us in any possible occasions. It just make you appear a more drama-queen and attention ho' that (we know) you already are.

What does that have ANYTHING to do with the fact that these buildings are tacky and unoccupied?

If they were built in NYC I would say the same thing.

I'll stop here though, wouldn't want you to be late to your Nazi youth club.

You may say that to the others who have no clue of your SSC posting history, but not to me.

I would have preferred that too, but:

- Residential towers needs balconies
- Most of the developers followed that local pattern of design on their previous developments as well.
- EMAAR (the Masterplaner) set the tone for that type of design, with their own towers, that were the first to be build in the area.

I don't really inderstand what my SSC posting history has anything to do with the statement i made below

If you refer to the fact that i am a great dubai fan, and will soon be living there, it doesnt stop me to judge that marina towers should get some more diverse type of cladding.

that's all what i said, and i stick to my opinion.

besides that, Dubai Marina is impressive...are u suggesting that i am bashing or what ? i'm not getting your point at all.

ok i just saw that AltinD also sees something wrong not only to my comments but also to Jay's comment.

Which makes me think that Altin maybe you should be more open minded to other people's opinion if they differ from yours...and stop trying to find in their "history" or "sexual orientation" a justification why they like or DON'T like a cladding.

you are going a bit too far i think. don't be so touchy...

YOUR posting history? It had nothing to do with you,

.... as for the rest, I was clear, that user has a history of what I already mention, in countless threads in many other sections of the forum, plus that same exact comment was posted a few other times already on other threads here.

That sounds alright to me ... the superblock will look better with a finished Marina 101 one day. Tacky design or not - this black monolith has become an eyesore compared to the done towers and should develop into a real building!

And in the long run, this may be a good sign for the other problem towers around (Pentominium, Damac Heights), too!

Yes, would be great so see a restart of construction. The lights on the crane is not the best sign. The lights on the cranes were on - also during construction freeze - as air beacons.

Responses to quotes in most forums only apply to the words BELOW the quoted post, not above like you were assuming.
