^ The completion for this project will be somewhere in June 2010. It is going as per schedule. Although slow by other international standards, it is still movign at a decent pace. Work on finishings is underway.

they are slow, thank god Hokait tower is not as slow as this one, Hokait is almost completed

btw, isn't Suwaikt tower 46 floors?? I thought Hokiat tower is 36 and this one is 40+

I'm confused

from what I know Hukait is 30 fls, and Swaiket is 40fls, not sure though

I heard the GC is an Egyptian Company but not sure about that either

I'm this close to the tower and found the number of storeys, 48 floors

Its a tall tower that can be seen from a very far away distance , but its construction is very slow. Their are lots of new towers being built near this project witch are changing the skyline of Khober dramatically , inshallah i will try to take pics of this tower and other skylines in al Khober very soon.

Thanks DAMAC for the update..
Just to update everyone.. This tower is now officially named "Dhahran Tower" "برج الظهران"..

I passed by Dhahran Tower during the past weekend, and noticed the sign (shown below the tower) for office leasing and apartment letting posted there showing the new official name.

Seems like an odd choice though, considering that the tower is actually located in Khobar and not Dhahran!
