they look very inviting and meals must be very tasty in them. What do Moroccans like to eat? Do you have any national dish? I once drank real peppermint tea in Tunis and I was feeling like heaven...it was an assault on my senses....I still dwell on those memoriesPS: Sorry, for being so personal, Perlantina, ....but is that you on that small photo below your nickname?...if that is the case, I am truly at a loss for words, you really look absolutely smashing

The main Moroccan dish most people are familiar with is couscous which is very old. Normally, this dish is prepared every Friday, it's a habit especially for our grandmothers lol Chicken is the most widely eaten meat in Morocco. The most commonly eaten red meat is beef although Lamb is preferred while being expensive. Among the most famous Moroccan dishes are Couscous, Pastilla (also spelled Bsteeya or Bastilla), Tajine, Tanjia and Harira. Although the latter is a soup, it is considered as a dish in itself and is served as such or with dates especially during the month of Ramadan. Couscous Couscous is traditionally served under a meat or vegetable stew. The dish is the primary staple food throughout the Maghreb Bastilla Served mainly in Occasions (mariages for example) Quote:
Sorry Matthias if i'm disappointing.... you but it's not me in the picture

Perlantina, thanks a lot for the information and the photos of the Moroccan dishes. They really look mouth-watering!
PS: Doesn´t matter if you are the girl on that photo or not, you are nevertheless very nice....and internal beauty is what counts...Futhermore, it is also nice to know that not all forumers are boys. |

PS: Thank you so much, i did nothing so special, you asked a question which i was supposed to answer since i'm a moroccan girl ! And i do like introducing our culture to Non Moroccan people as well as to know other's cultures ! I'm just not used to the forum for the moment that's why i'm sticking to Africa's Forum, but it doesn't mean that i'm not reading other SkyscraperCity's forums

Really magic! marvellous! I know where to go to eat in my next stay in Morocco in Mars! Morocco really makes me think of Cuba at the time of Batista before the arrival of Castro, a true paradise for the very rich foreigners! thank you very much dear Redalinho Last edited by jimjohn; January 30th, 2007 at 06:13 PM. |
