I thought the purpose of moving to the downtown of a major city was to be close to all the "noise", and if you wanted quiet you lived to the suburbs. I guess its not that cut and dry with everyone.

You don't move next to an airport and think the only birds you'll ever hear have feathers.

You don't move next to a railroad if vibrating beds aren't your thing.

You sure as hell don't move within a few thousand feet, not to mention within line-of-sight, of an entertainment/nightlife district and not expect your teeth to be chattering for at least two nights of the week.

Then again, this doesn't surprise me the least...

its only a matter of time before we start hearing this coming out of the condos downtown... mark my words... were gonna hear this from there too... ive thought about it every time ive been to a concert at bayfront and im leaving at 1 and walk past the condos as they go up... marina blue, ten museum park... theyr gonna get ear fulls from 10 foot tall speakers goin past midnite on many saturday nights... and were gonna hear em bitch about it in a few years

The world is not the same anymore, cities grow and noise from the nightlife and such is definately part of it.
Deal with it or leave.

The whole thing of Ft. Lauderdale being 'the OC' of SoFla is a joke and should have stayed in the 80's. I can definately image specifically what kind of people, especially what age are complaining about it.

WHAT?!!! Condos r not even close to Riverside where all the bars r...they r more towards Las Olas...damned stupid old people!

don't like noise?....there is always the Everglades....wait they have noisy alligators also. Have these people heard of earplugs?

What's funny about all of this is that I didn't think old people's hearing was very good. Wouldn't all of this "noise" have to be louder than an atomic bomb for them to hear it? (just kidding)
