A Map of my trip through Vienna last Sunday:

2: Millenium tower
3: Donaucity
4: Wienerberg

Millenium Tower, Austria's highest building. Taken from the platform of the S-Bahn track (S45 line, direct connection to my home, about 25mins)

4:
Donaucity cluster, view from Donauinsel, the artificial island in the middle of the Danube:

5:
A view back towards Millenium Tower:

6:
Entertainment area "Copa Cagrana" in front of Austria's finest contemporary architecture:

8:
The site of the future 200/160m towers by Perrault:

9:

10:
One of the new V-type metro sets (line U1) entering the station "Kaisermühlen - Vienna International Center", referring to the UN building in the background:

11:
A variety of office and residential buildings:

Pretty deserted on a cold and windy Sunday:

18:
The memorial celebrating 50 years of Austrian independence after WWII (1945-1995, the so-called "Second Republic - the First Republic was founded in 1918 after the collapse of the Habsburg monarchy and ended in 1936 with the German "invasion".)

19:
The UN are expanding:

21:
Getting on the metro, heading for the next architectural hotspot:

22:
After a rather tiresome journey on metro (U1), S-bahn (S9) and tram (65) I arrived on top of the Wienerberg:

23:
The Wienerberg Towers with their Petronas-style walkways:

I hope you enjoyed my pictures. I surely enjoyed taking them. Please excuse the dust spots on some of them. Gotta clean my cam one of these days...

Very nice shots.
I don't like the Donaucity Cluster at all, but the Wienerberg cluster looks nice

Great pics mate!

Vienna is a great example on how you CAN have highrises and scrapers in a traditional beautiful old city!

Keep up the good work!

Donaustadt is the name of the 22nd district. Donaucity is the neogerman term for the mid-rise cluster, which is just a small part of the district.
