I wouldn't be suprised if they are correct, lets face it, Wembley hasn't been handled correctly. Now there is bickering over legal issues (mainly people's money) and if something that pathetic delays the FA Cup final, I will be severely pissed.

Why not just put the FA Cup final back to a later date. Particularly if no English clubs progress to the Semis or Finals of the CL, then that is viable.

Well it is fact if they can get the safety certificates in time the Final should be at Wembley, i dont see why they cant put 2 events in time. in actual fact they have already been scheduled to take place. so what is that news paper talking about? honestly anything to sell papers, good thing none of the other papers have jumped on the bandwagon of this rubbish. BRING ON THE FINAL(and if anyone gets tickets, u know were i am )

the date doesn't need changing, it will be ready, this is just a typical write up about the stadium from any paper going.
not once have i read in a paper of how good the stadium is
not once have i read how great it is
not once have i read anything good at all about the stadium in papers
all i see in the papers is
wembley delayed
wembley wont be ready
wembley workers on strike
wembley workers walk out
wembley is a laughing stock
wembley nearly ready
wembley more delays
wembley nearly ready again
wembley wont be ready again

come may and the day after the final is successfully played infront of 90,000 fans in the best stadium ever made, all the papers will say is
britney spears hair is growing!

Although prepare for some sniping on the basis that the area's still a building site and the press box doesn't put the media on the half-way line, which will put some noses out of joint!

Wembley will definitely be ready to host this season's FA Cup final, says the Daily Express - this according to bbc sports' gossip column.

Wembley to be handed over to FA
Wembley
The rebuilding of Wembley Stadium has cost £757m
Builders Multiplex could hand over the keys to the new Wembley Stadium as early as Friday, BBC Sport understands.

BBC Sports News Correspondent James Pearce says building work is almost complete and the FA Cup final is almost certain to be at Wembley on 19 May.

If the Football Association does not receive the keys to the £757m stadium on Friday, it should happen on Monday.

The first of two test events needed to get a safety certificate will then be a community day for 60,000 on 17 March.

The handover of the keys is more than a year late, having originally been scheduled for January 2006.

The second test event will be an England Under 21 match a week after the community event, and unless there are unforeseen problems, a safety certificate will be awarded in time for the FA Cup final to take place.
