wow
how sad to think like that

north tehran is exactly at its limit now, no more new apartment construction should be done in that area and the 200 year old gardens and villas should be brought back to life
if this construction continues a huge part of tehrans beauty , uniqueness and history will be whiped out and it will be a dry city like lahor
please dont think just constructing is good
these things should be built in the south

"Will be a dry city like Lahore" Lahore is the main cultural centre of Pakistan, so i don't guess that's really "dry"

But yes i agree, still we won't expect them to build such stuff in the south until social justice is met, who wants to invest in an area filled with druggies etc?

dry physically, meaning no trees

also, if people and the municipality helped the south this wouldnt of happened
besides, its no reason to exploit the north, the east west and central eastern areas have lots of space

Personally I was thinking about Taleqani (Takht Jamshid) St the other day with the big banks. I would love to see a huge residential development developed here. You know if there were more towers in the city centre like that which were for high net worth individuals. For example if I worked in a big office in the city centre that very nice apartment block in the North would be a pain in rear to commute to these far flung places. By the way how much per square metre is that apartment block?

Got to agree with Soroush here, north Tehran should remain as it looked 50 years ago, that is large houses with gardens. Instead they should completely destroy those shanty towns in the south and built a lot of apartments and parks and stuff.

The biggest problem with Iranian people is that they don't know just how great their country can be.

some housing projects in the south, not bad for a start, but we need to see taller, more modern and if not glassy, more lux looking buildings

damesh garm
hes a hard but slow working guy
atleast he actually cares

the only thing i have an issue with in the article is that they wanna make more flyovers (bridges) which are not very effective, but then make the city rid of cars? flyover means u invite people to use cars, then u want them not to? yekam gharo ghatiye

Yeah, what i would love to see is more metro raillines which aren't underground, the flyovers and bridges could be used for these instead of promoting people to use cars.

Ghalibaf is one of the few decent managers in the IR. 3rd best mayor Tehran has seen after nikpey and karbaschi. Too bad the government doesn't give him the full funding for Metro. otherwise it would have been faster.
