well, it's dark outside, but that's not because we are in a tunnel, but it's night.
hint: it's not A1, but is on the route from Slovenia/Italy towards Split. The turn of the motorway is there quite unique.

Audi indeed.

These pictures look much older than they actually seem to be. Based on picture quality I'd say it's the 70's, but it's probably early 2000's.

[QUOTE=hofburg;58293491however now there's a motorway till vrgorac, so that doesn't give you much choice.[/QUOTE]

a motorway until Vrgorac? Last A1 exit is just before Ravca and after I drove 5-6 km untill Vrgorac on a local road. Did I made some mistake?

What's the actual corridor for connection to Dubrovnik resp. MNG, northern all the way through BiH or southern just bypassing Neum and back to Croatia?

I've just read some brochures of MMPI and I am still not sure. From my point of view it would be better to build BC Ploče - Pelješac - Dubrovnik and A1 leaving HR near Prolog, but I can imagine that you may have other arguments for southern corridor.

this is probably 2000 or 2001 because i see new cat eyes beside the road (gosh, i never know how those things are called in english!), and signs are old (and replacing old signs went quite fast)

But police should not stop you for driving 100 km/h. There is a safety margin of 10 km/h in Croatia and for driving to 10 km/h over the speed limit outside villages there is no fine in the Croatia traffic law. So, you drive 100, cop have to deduct 10, and then you are on 90 km/h --> no fine.

pijanec, when you leave exit Klis, there is maximum speed sign 80 kmh on the expressway. It's strange but that's how it is. Last year I was fined there with a speed of 110 kmh.

I know there is a sign for 80 km/h. I also know that Croatian speed limits are always like 20 km/h lower than they would be in any other European country.

You were rightfully fined for 110, but you wouldn't be for driving 100 km/h in 80 km/h zone.

But again, isn't it weird to put the sign for 80 kmh on road where highest speed shoud be 110 (according to the Croatian law, max speed on an expressway is 110 kmh)?

Dunno why Croatia doesn't adopt European system of general speed limits. On the other hand Slovenia is pretty closely following general speed limits rule, like even if a road's design speed is 40 km/h it will still apply 90 km/h speed limit for that road.
