Maybe true, but above drawing is actually an idea design of new motorway through Matulji over existing alignment.

You should read technical report, page 3:

This is planned as a full motorway with design speed of 80 km/h right into Matulji.

You should read more careful. This is environmental report for (one - probably chosen one) variant of brand new motorway with 2+2 arrangement with normal width hard shoulders and 80 km/h speed limit on section from Učka to Matulji, which will end with newly designed junction Matulji 2 (in place of current same-level junction). It does not bother with technicalities of the road, but environmental issues. Still it always speaks about motorway until Matulji.

I don't want to be smart-ass here but working as a designer of new traffic infrastructure and if there are some similar procedures of how to built a motorway between Slovenia and Croatia (and I'm sure there are quite some), then in my opinion any new motorway above Matulji and Opatija is very distant future.

Ja bio vrijedan pa prošetao da 'parkirališta' nosača, gdje su uredno čekale dvije dizalice, a prilikom povratka doma sam sa semafora slikao i novu dizalicu na samom gradilištu.

entrance (there is a railroad tunnel to the left)


the tunnel passes literally below the railroad (just north of the shopping centre)

here you can see an minimal overburden - 12 meters below 4-storey buiding


this is the entrance tube which has not been built


this is the exit tube which you can see on some of the photos... this tube exits in the shopping centre

I have gone now thru almost 100 pages and there are realy some great pictures in this thread,too bad that nobody has posted any pictures from the motorway sections in Slavonija,especialy the a5 in both directions is that what i would like to see

search a bit more, there should be few photo sessions of A5, especially just after opening. so first part Sredanci - Đakovo search in November 2007, and Đakovo - Osijek in April 2009 or just after it

S istog mjesta prema usjeku na jugu. Vidi se postavljeni bitumenizirani nosivi sloj na četverotračnom (autocestovnom) profilu koji ubrzo prelazi u dvotračni profil.



Nakon uspona, sa zapadne strane usjeka puca pogled do Galižane na sjeveru. U prvom planu čvor Pula.



Vide se tragovi miniranja usjeka kao i visinske oznake ispisane crvenom bojom.



Cesta je ovdje već dvotračna i već prije samog viadukta Valture počinje skretati u jugoistočnom luku prema Jadreškima koji se na fotki vide skroz lijevo.

Nastavak dalje. Lijevo Fort Turtian (ako nekome ne izgleda kao fort, vjerujte na riječ da jest ). Vidi se i podvožnjak Vintijan (treći od četiriju). Kako god bilo, zašto ovaj podvožnjak svi navode kao Vintijan ostaje i dalje nejasno jer se Vintijan (http://wikimapia.org/#lat=44.8454027...3&z=15&l=0&m=b) nalazi mnogo dalje od ovog mjesta. Možda su mislili Turtijan?



S podvožnjaka Vintijana prema jugozapadu. Vide se, s lijeva na desno, vodotoranj na Vidikovcu, vrhovi nebodera na Verudi i H-neboderi na Vidikovcu.

jugu. Ovaj ravni dio trase je dovoljno dug da se sigurno nekoga pretekne, a ne izgubi glavu. Ne vjerujem da će netko ići pretjecati nakon nepreglednog zavoja kad se odmah iza njega treba usporiti zbog prilaza rotoru Campanožu.



Rotor Campanož (treći od pet). Za razliku od četvrtka sada su već rubnjacima oblikovani otoci.
