yep, they don't accept €-cent coins. (you can see the warning on bogdymol's photo with euro-cent policy). the rest is always given in HRK.

My father was charged 5 € and it was displayed on the display at the toll station aswell, just did not take pics, so don't talk nonsesence it costs only 1 €, total cost to pass Croatia is 20 € for one passing and that is really a shame for that short country.

I proved you with that picture that it costs just 1 €. I passed through that point just 3 months ago and paid 1 €. Chris did the same in 2010. Other users confirm that it's 1 €.

So here are 2 posibilities:
  1. your dad drives a big lorry so he paid 30 kn
  2. the agent that takes the money cheated on your father asking for more money than he should have payed

5€ for the 30km between ZG and the SLO border is crazy. Are you sure that the collector wasn't dishonest and asked 5€ instead of 5kn to foreigners that aren't familiar with Croatian currency? If I remember well, Croatian toll booths display the amount only in kn.

Maybe you are right, the display displayed something with 5 and the guy said 5 €, I think the display even displayed 5 € for the short stretch from Zagreb to the border, but people know Croatia does that and the motorways are not even that great to charge so much money, absolutely rediculous, hopefully that will change when Croatia gets in the european union.

Sorry. But I said that because I remember having seen somewhere NP Plitvicka Jezera and NP Kornati, and in those cases really means National Park.
