Iako se baš to i ne vidi na slikama, radi se. Kamioni stižu s asfaltom, betonira se i ostali građevinski radovi su u tijeku.
Listopad 2013 je realan rok

What is currently happening with the first section of this motorway: from interchange with A3 to interchange V. Gorica?

You have some pictures on previous pages. Currently, works are being done around Odra-Mlaka exit, and today I saw some asphalting works on Velika Gorica north connection, although all of this won't be of any help without connection to A3 (which is being hard to finish because of the land expropriation problems)

How recent is this information? It's all good news, although it's shocking to me that listopad is October, because in Polish that's the name of November

I'm surprised by Zagvozd - Baška Voda being almost ready, I didn't even know they were going to open it this year. It's gonna be a nice alternative for the current route between D8 and Šestanovac.

October=Listopad (list=leaf, padati=falling -> a month when leaves fall off the trees)
November=Studeni (studeno=cold)
December=Prosinac (month of proposals )

Interesting!

Let's get back to Imotski - Baška Voda expressway. There was a picture of that road few days ago... Opening is not so surprising concerning the fact that it was being built for a while and it's a 2-lane road.
As for the date of the infos, I really don't know, but the deadlines are now more realistic than a year ago.

Small country for big problems People (the land-owners) aren't satisfied with proposed price, so there are some legal court disputes going on...

What happens on the Bosnian side? Does the border crossing ends in the middle of nowhere or have they constructed some infrastructure as well?

They are building their part as well
Here are some photo updates from the BIH's side... They are planning to open the whole section from the border to the town of Zvirovići before summer 2014. Before that, first 2 km from the border to the exit Zvirići will be opened together with the croatian A10

about A8: "rogovici" is next to A9, close to the slowenian border, so its another rogovici meant, i guess? what section will be under construction exactly?

No. Rogovići is the name of an exit on A8 for Pazin. It would be more precize if they have named it "Pazin-west". It's here: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Pazin,...oatia&t=m&z=15
So currently, A8 is in full profile from Kanfanar interchange (A8/A9) to Rogovići, total 18 km. You can see in street view how does it look like

So this year construction works on building second carriageway start from Rogovići (Pazin-west) to Cerovlje exit (that's the first section to be upgraded, cca 10 km) but works will be going towards east and Učka tunnel. That's the most dangerous part of the "istrian Y" because it's a curvy, 2-lane road without emergency lanes and speeds are around 100-110 km/h...

In my opinion, the Croatian state should continue the highway to the border crossing. Then break in Bosnia and continue again in Croatia.

I don't want to repeat/start again the discussion from last pages, but in my opinion it's not a wise decision to build a motorway from both sides of the border without setting a plan first about the corridor through BIH territory. Also, there's about 10 km from the border to the connection with the road coming from Pelješac peninsula (map), and on that 10 km section the traffic will be so low because people would probably use ferries from Ploče to Trpanj to avoid border control formalities... So, motorway to the very border line, and from the border on the southern side, would be practically useless and vaste of money. Don't forget the fact that the adriatic-ionian route is not defined yet, so no one knows if the motorway further south will go through BIH (Herzegovina) or through Croatian territory to Montenegro
Personally, my favourite option is Pelješac bridge, with motorway or an expressway going to Dubrovnik.

Than, bypassing Dubrovnik, to Ćilipi (Dubrovnik Airport) and finally to Debeli Brijeg (border crossing to Montenegro).

Was an undersea tunnel considered for the Pelješac crossing? The Norwegians build these kind of tunnels at relatively low prices.
