What's YOUR definition of highway and motorway?

I think it's also motorway standard south of Drava bridge (2 carriageways with each minimum 2 lanes, grade separated and access-controlled). A highway is a general name of a main road. It comprises motorways, expressways or just simple roads with one carriageway featuring 2 lanes.

Let me try to explain
There is idea for planed motorway north of Drava bridge to H border to be built with only one carriageway with two way traffic to save money.
For now it is idea ( minister of infrastructure mentioned it), with no any official news from HAC about it so far.

Regarding Sava bridge - i found info only in croatian (strange )

First step is to build just one carriageway, 3-laned 2+1, because AADT is very low. As long as Hungarian M6 is not being built up to the border (not high priority in Hungary, just look on the low M6 AADT), it doesn't matter that it's not motorway till the border because traffic must cross the border on D7 in any case.

I understand, but no temporary connection to road 7? I see underpass with 3,5m limit in Beli Manastir - no problem for trucks?

Well as far as i am concerned there will be a connector to D7 north of Ceminac. Also possibly a northern ring road of Beli Manstir. But that are plans. I have no data, and don't know if there are real works done.

I remember the discussion about border crossing M43 HU-RO A1... They built new connectors on each side of the border, this was likely but the announcements were rare. At first we saw complaints in the hungarian forum, that the romanians might be late. In the end it was the other way around.

Well its a good source to look at OSM and ask the contributors if possible (in case of language i mean)

South of Drava bridge you will have a motorway and north from it an expressway due to reasons Zezi explained.

Was fine, very scenic, fun to drive. But some speed limits are annoying low. And if you get stuck before a caravan... you have almost 0 chances to overtake. But the scenery is superb.

Later today I will post some more pictures from A1.

Why is A7 around Rijeka signposted as expressway?
