These figures are outdated and biased. For some countries 4-lane motorways without hard shoulders aren't counted, but for other countries 2-lane motorroads (without hard shoulders) are considered motorways.

The M7 (Nagykanizsa-Balatonkeresztúr) was built for 7-7,5m €/km.

Where do they see any tunnel on Hungarian motorways?

PS: looking at tags, I didn't know there was a motorway in Croatia, called Versolina. I wonder which one it is...

The Construction of a Four-Lane Motorway Started




The opening ceremony of the construction of a full profile motorway took place on October 6, 2008. The Phase 2A construction works should be finished in 41 months. The four-lane motorway will not only make the journey more comfortable to the users, but will also considerably enhance the road safety level.

The last section of the single carriageway motorway under Bina-Istra concession (the so-called Istrian Y Motorway) was opened to traffic in December 2006. The preparations aimed at doubling the existing profile started immediately afterwards.

Given the fast-growing traffic, in the beginning of 2007, after opening the last section of the semi-motorway to traffic (Vodnjan-Pula), Bina-Istra started working on a number of issues that precede the beginning of construction (the detailed design for Phase 2 was contracted, procedures for obtaining the construction permits per sections were initiated, the land expropriation along the motorway prepared, and archeological excavations along the Y Motorway agreed on).

The construction of a full profile motorway is planned in phases so that the entire work of doubling the Y road network is finished in the shortest time possible. As soon as the construction permit for a certain section or road structure is obtained, the construction starts. So the full profile construction works begin immediately after the legally valid construction permit has been obtained for the Vodnjan-Pula section.

I wanted to ask this We only have U/C tunnels, so i don't think they should be counted. Or if they count them, the lenght of the U/C motorway sections should be added too the list
