Although parallel here, these are two (or three) different motorways (if we can call Jadranska avenija a motorway). One is Zagreb - Karlovac (or vice-versa), the other one is Zagreb (southwest) - Jankomir/Ivanja Reka (or vice-versa). It still looks good though.

Sorry, I didn't notice you could actually continue and return to the main Zagreb-Karlovac lanes. Although they still aren't compact, it's more credible.

Is that a problem? I've never experienced both border crossings under 40 km/h.

I dont know of the laws in Croatia, but here, the case is this, and I dont think our laws are that much different.

Personal privacy? That only exist in your home. In the open, you can be recorded, including all your belongings,as you are on public property. They will just say that the camera monitors the traffic in general,in which case the record is not solely about you,so they havent broken the law...

And even if you are recorded with the intention of recording you,and only you, they will only need your consent if they want to make the tape public...and a court is not public...

What if I now record your post on a videocamera? Is that violation of privacy? Recording your vehicle from the outside why would be against your privacy? Usually those(I'm not refering to you here) protest against speed cameras and security cameras, who want to hide something. Those who dont break the law, dont have to be afraid.

Usually, no!
But few years back, there were group of tourists (bus) who wanted to visit Dubrovnik, and had visa for Croatia but not for BiH. I dont remember details.

It's not, if you don't publish it. I think you'd need consent, if you wanted to publish it.

Too much control leads to lack of freedom and democracy. Remember Churchill.

They may not fine you on the basis of what these cameras show. They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. (Franklin, not Churchill) Imagine wrong people having absolute power to control us. Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely. Such people can do whatever they want with you, once they totally control you. If you don't like them, there's nothing you can do about it.

This is not really the case in Slovenia. Even universities which installed cameras to prevent cheating had to post signs in front of classrooms that people are recorded. Check Germany. Their constitution strongly protects privacy, even so that some fixed radars are illegal. Or Italy where every fixed radar needs a special sign. And I am sure in almost every developed country is the same. Every person violates tens of laws every day and you don't want to be all day under control and become obsessed not to do something wrong.

Courts are always public. Judicial systems are maintained by taxpayers money, hence public.

About posting a videocamera record. You can post it about anyone if a record does not harm personal integrity or reveal some sensitive personal information or you will not make money out of a record. But they can't be used in courts unless people are notified about cameras being used or they are used by those authorised by law for gathering evidences which offers very limited possibilities.

Interesting that there are two companies engaged in building that bridge... one from the east and the other from the west. Is this a normal practice in Hrvatska?

Not really. Usually bridges are being built by one company.
But these two companies are also building tunnel Biokovo (about 4100 m) together. North side Hidroelektra, south Konstruktor
