Me too! I only got to spend 3 great days in Dubai, and enjoyed every minute of it.
That helicopter tour looked amazing!

That was only 3 days for me too! I've got Bangkok, Heron Island, Brisbane and Sydney to follow! Its just so time consuming resizing, hosting and posting so many pics!

I liked that you also saw the "true" Dubai and not just the new construction boom (how the hell do they have that much demand!
)

I was wondering that myself... It seemed unbelieveable that there was that much demand. I do worry that they could be on the brink of one almighty property crash if the boom continues unchecked. However, for now, by all accounts everything's being pretty much snapped up off-plan so the demand is there. A lot of Iran's Middle classes are buying up property there due to instablility back home, I heard something like $10 billion of investment has come from Iranians alone. I have no idea how many apartments are actually going to be permanently lived in and how many are 'buy to let' or intended to be holiday homes.

You can see how Dubai is growing from litterally nothing, in one of them pics theres like 10 buildings being constructed at the same time!!! but i hope they keep the traditions and cultures of Dubai, they should infact make a really futuristic looking Mosque there to keep their identity. I also hope they dont change their Alcohol laws it makes it really intrigueing.

Wow, that's amzing, certainly looks like your saw the sites of Dubai. It's good to see that they are retaining their history. Burj Dubai looks so tall, can't believe it's only at half height!

Absolutely incredible pictures Joe - you're so lucky to be able to go on regular jaunts like this. Dubai is just completely surreal. It's a far cry from 1978 when I first and last walked briefly on Dubai soil - only that time we were just at the airport for a refuelling stop on the way back home from Hong Kong. It was like a furnace that occasion, even though it was night time - must have been at least 35ºc. I also remember buying a bottle of Fanta and it costing me 75p in English money for it - expensive by any standards even then.
