Bangla Academy Monument- dedicated to the language martyrs of 1952 who where shot dead in a rally demanding Bengali to be established as the official language of Pakistan (Bangladesh was part of Pakistan until 1971)

The historic Ahsan Manzil (Pink Palace) in Old Dhaka

Tomb of 3 leaders- Suhrawardy, Fazlul Haque & someone else. These 3 leaders before the independence had a pivotal role in the establishment of rights for Bengalis.

Lord Curzon Hall- originally built in the colonial period to be the city hall of "Dacca" but currently part of Dhaka University

Thats true, particularly for the larger South Asian cities like Dhaka, Mumbai or Karachi. There is also traffic in cities like Bangkok but they don't stay too long (at least in my experience) but in these cities traffic jams can last for hours!

Total seating capacity is 36,000. It is a football stadium in Motijheel area of the city. It used to be a smaller cricket stadium since construction in the 1950s but after massive renovation and expansion it was converted to a football stadium in March 2005.

Bangabandhu Stadium largest right now. Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium (also in Dhaka) is undergoing expansion, after that, it is gonna be the biggest. More cricket stadiums are expected to come up because 2011 Cricket World Cup will be held jointly by Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, India & Pakistan.
