It is a bit more according to my calculations; it depends which way somebody treats the A8 and the A90 (see below).

First number indicates open section; second full length (even if under construction or planned).

A1: 471/550Km
A2: 658/670Km (minus 12Km in common with the A1; counted under the A1)
A3: 0/175Km
A4: 0/65Km
A5: 70/515Km
A6: 65/65Km
A7: 140/150Km
A8: 184/184Km (Korinthos – Rio section is actually under dualling process but the whole route has GSJ and… toll is paid)
A11: 11/11Km
A12: 0/40Km
A13: 0/40Km
A20: 0/5Km
A25: 110/200Km (minus 7Km in common with the A2; counted under the A2)
A27: 40/100Km
A29: 54/75Km
A52: 0/50Km
A62: 4/4Km
A64: 20/20Km
A65: 3/5Km
A71: 0/100Km
A90: 35/200Km (although 187Km have been characterized as motorway I count only the ‘real’ motorway sections)
A581: 2/5Km
A642: 2/2Km

Total: 1850 plus the 152Km ‘nominal’ of the A90 = 2002Km (expected length of the so far designated and tendered projects = 3212Km).

There are also about 140Km classified as expressways, but are mainly single carriageways with GSJ.

Actually for the time being, they are just dualling the existing national road. However the Ministerial Decision of 2008 (ΔΜΕΟ/ε/ο/5529/ε/825) assigned A4 for a future conversion into motorway standard.

Please have a look at #1406 on page 71 of this thread for more information.

I taken this image of the english wikipedia.
Considering the economic crisis in Greece, there are now all this motorways under construction? (blue legend in the image) How is affected the crisis in the construction of all this motorways?

For example in Spain majority of motorways are halted, this is the true reality in my country.

I was under the impression that Spain's motorway network was comprehensive... Aren't all major cities connected to each other by motorways?

Spains motorway network is okay, he was just talking about new motorways being on-hold in Spain because of the crisis.

Since the crisis hit Greece, only the A7/A71 progressed accroding to the plans; the A7 is almost ready minus the Kalamata Ring Road and a bridge near Tsakona, while half of the A71 will open in the first half of 2014.

Also some - but little - work was carried out on the A25, A27, A29 and A52, while the A90 saw some openings around Irakleio (Heraklion).

Works have stopped on the A1, A3, A5 and A8 due to banking problems but it seems that they will start again after September. However the A5 section Patra - Tsakona (A7) and the A3 sections Lamia (A1) - Xyniada and Trikala - A2 will start on a later stage.

Some news are expected for the final missing part of the A65 (the I/C with NR8) and the A64 extension towards the Athenian coastline (NR91).

Can you help interpret what's being said at http://www.docman.gr/Download/2553.aspx? (DOC file, c. 100 KB)

It looks as if they've added new provincial roads in the Peloponnese.

Extra question: between Argolidos and Arcadia at http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=37...om=13&layers=M, how does EP10 (Arc.), 28 (Arg.) and 63 (Arc.) go? The presently beige road that goes by the railway seems to be well paved. I checked the Atlas but EP28 doesn't say it starts from Kiveli. if there are two ways that cross the border instead, am I missing another numbered road?

Thanks.

The document is a Regional Council decision of granting authority to the regional authorities in order to maintain both national and provincial roads in Peloponnisos. However, I think that you are right and they have just added ΕπΟ 19a, 30 and 31 in Argolida and ΕπΟ68 in Arkadia.

As far as the map question is concerned you have connected ΕπΟ 10 (Ark.) and ΕπΟ28 (Arg.) correctly. However, ΕπΟ63 seems to me that was intended go from Κάτω Δολιανά/Kato Doliana immediately to the north towards the border and then to the ‘beige’ road (ΕπΟ31 – Arg.) to Βελανιδιά/Velanidia, but was never constucted. I think it would be better to leave Επ63 (Ark.) as you have done and connect it with ‘new’ ΕπΟ31 (Arg.).

The section Selasia - Voutiani of the National Road 39 (Tripoli - Sparta) was given to traffic again after 3 years of reconstruction.
Just to remind you, the section was closed after two months of its original completion. That was due a big landslide approximately 100 metres long, and several other, minor ones.

The exact date is unknown. During last winter, they were saying that the section from the beginning (Lefktro interchange) up to Pelana interchange would be given to traffic during this summer. Up until now nothing, though...
Now it is being said that the whole motorway will be ready at the end of this year. Personally, I doubt it!

I don't understand new Google Maps legend, in the map appears like not, but I don't know.
