Wow, a word in Hungarian and a Slavic language meaning the same; quite unbelievable.

1. Verso, don't be too happy. Maybe you just revealed a secret, that fleas were dropped from Slovenian spy planes to Hungary?
In the 40' and 50' polish propaganda announced, that potato beetle was dropped to the polish farms by Americans .

2. In Poland iron is the name for Daewoo Tico.

3. Normally i drive slower, especially on this crappy part, but i wanted this movie to be more interesting... I travelled a distance of ~24 km in more than 14 minutes.
This concrete part looks worse than it really feels... Or maybe i got accustomed...
But frankly, this road is 70 years old without any serious renovation, only repairs with spots of asphalt. Bridges were renovated too. Even driving 60 can damage suspension.
This part of the road is the reason, why now i usually take train or bus.

Actually Slovenian language has some words taken from Hungarian language. Don't ask how.

By now, A6 is road to nowhere. Ok, it is road to Berlin, but people from Szczecin join motorway at the last exit, 2,5 km before the border.
Common section of A6/S3 ends at exit Kijewo (this cloverleaf at the end of motorway). Right now new S3 from Szczecin to Gorzów (direction south) is under construction and then this part A6 will be more jammed, just like part of S3, that you see on the movie. And movie was shoot at 9.30 am, after the morning traffic.

1. This red line is new constructed S3. First movie is from A6 sign (close to Metalowa) to S3 sign (crossing Andrzeja Struga), second movie - from S3 sign to Kliniska Wielkie at the right top corner, third from Kliniska. In right bottom corner you see present DK3 (DK = droga krajowa = national road)

2. Bigger map. Red line is new S3, E65 is present DK3.

As far as I know, A2 Świecko-Nowy Tomyśl, It has to be open in 2010. There are some problems. First it had to be completed by end of 2007, then 2009, and now 2010. A2 Stryków-Warszawa, now the 2,5 km section, Stryków bypass is under construction. And the construction from Stryków to Warszawa will start in 2009 and probalby will be finished at the end of 2010. A4 Zgorzelec-Krzyżowa. Everything is well on track. It will be opened in 11/2008.

And also if everything will go with no problems then construction of next A1 section, from Grudziądz(Nowe Marzy) to Toruń, about 50km. Can even start in first quarter of 2008

Who doesn't !

Latest information about roads, motorways, stadiums and other preparations for Euro always on Drogi na Euro . It's in Polish, but the navigation is really intuitive, so it shouldn't be a problem .

Map of Polish motorways (A1 already updated) - Here .

looks very tidy and nice! of course, it will be much better when it reaches some serious lenght, now it is in Struma category especially i like this grass belt around motorway, so if you somehow got thrown out of pavement, you don't crash your car and don't kill yourself

The distance signs looks very good, good destinations, except ofcourse, in my opinion, those tiny teeny border villages, which are now no longer important because of schengen.

Signing border towns is not bad per se, but what value does it have at such distances? I would sign them only after the last large city before the border, and always with a significant city across the border, so it doesn't looks like the world ends at the border, you'll expect such things in North Korea or former DDR or something, but i think that time has come and gone for Poland.
