Ruda Śląska and Rybnik as those are the most important towns to which the road connects not Knurów and Gierałtowice
It is still not sure whether they complete the Sosnica interchange in November. If they don't, we will have to wait until the spring 2010 for the opening.
This is one of the examples of bad directions on polish roads. There is a law which tells to sign the exits with the name of nearest town (or village) rather than major direction of traffic.

Exit A1 -> 925 should be signed Rybnik and Ruda Śląska, A1 -> 921 should be signed Knurów Zabrze Rudy (Racibórz???)

(921 is a road from Rudy(919) to Zabrze(88) via Pilchowice(78) and Knurów(924, A1), 925 is from Rybnik(935) to Bytom(88, 94) via Bełk(A1) and Ruda Śląska(DTŚ, A4))

It (Knurów) should be exit only for local traffic, so Knurów and Gierałtowice are rather good towns on this sign. To Zabrze and Ruda Śląska people should be leaded by A1 and A4, not by local roads.

This exit should rather be signed Rybnik and Orzesze (or Łaziska Górne). Ruda Śląska should be achievable by motorways, not by 1x2 voivodship road.

Yeah, I saw S7 opened today (or yesterday). Great Is it the entire part from Kielce-South to Skarzyszko-Kamienna? I believe the Kielce bypass used to be one carriageway (jedna jezdnia), is that widened to 2x2 too?

No, it's only the junction and surroundings (7,3 km). The road down to Skarżysko - Kamienna is U/C.

Kiece bypass is still 1x2, reconstruction will start next year.

What's interesting, it was originally designed as a part of A7, so it has A class profiled turns. Sadly, this won't be very useful - you can't raise max speeds on such roads

240 million euros for 18 km = 13 million per km. Not really an extravaganza!

That area is below sea level, it's actually a lot like the Netherlands southeast of Gdansk. Plus, S7 is gonna need two big bridges across the Wisla there.

but this is not this strech, Vistula is few kilometres more to the east. And why two bridges?

Because the Wisla has two branches... Now who lives there, you or me?

That's a plan of the south Gdańsk bypass.

The strech, which is going to cross Wisła will be build later, as it was newly renovated as a single carriageway.

And there is only one branch unless you mean the Nogat river (which is in fact a strech of Wisła, but is treated as a spearate river), which lies some 24 km to the east from Wisla.

DK50 is an interesting road, it forms a U-route around Warszawa. It's 293 kilometers long.

I was just thinking, are there plans for a branch off S7 towards the port of Gdansk? It would be better to have a direct access from the port to S7/A1 instead of using city streets.
