Is that the entire 12-kilometer bypass or just a viaduct across A2, as I read it?

The A1/A2 interchange looks fantastic . The bridges are stupendous. Can't wait for it to open for use when section A of the A2 from
Stryków to Konotopa opens in June or whenever it does finally open

No, just a viaduct over A2, all traffic still goes through Żyrardów. As I said, the whole bypass will probably be opened by the end of June. Most of it is ready or almost ready, but there is a short section where it looks like this:

Oh, mea culpa I've read about opening the viaduct just before reading your post, so I was influenced by it.

Only the viaduct over A2 is open.

They are supposed to finish it in July, so opening is to be expected in August.

Is there already some kind of "route map" about what to construct after 2013? Right now we're having over 1.000 kilometers of motorways and expressways under construction, but most of them will be finished in the next 18 months. I've seen little action about what happens in 2014 and beyond. They've taken quite a number of DSU's, hopefully they manage to turn that into actual construction in 2014 - 2016.

My guesses
section a:25/06 ready + open
section b 28/05 ready 25/06 open
section c 25/06 ready + open
section d 28/05 ready + open
section e 21/05 ready + open
I can't be @ssed to check if bits of e are already open but the graphs indicate very fast progress. plant from finished sections will be redeployed to other sections (my guess). I expect that there are penalty clauses for delays in opening past euro 2012... . section a has 29km of tarmac to do. section c has 4km with no layers on at all. in short all open by the end of June 2012. Well done the Poles!
section A is around 50% larger than BCD and E is 50% of BCD approximately.

I don't think the negotiations with the EU have concluded yet.

Everything depends on two factors:
- level of EU Structural Funds for Poland
- situation on debt market (state road construction is almost entirely dependend on special road bonds),
both of which are to be determined in 2013.

Most probably 2013 will be a gap in road tenders.

This can be a little useful:

green - ready until 2015
red - priorities for 2014 - 2020
orange - what can be built if funding allows
blue - sections to be built in PPP (no longer current)

Just remember this map has been published last year in a newspaper, so it's just a guess what may come in the oncoming years.

The map just above looked like a good representation of Poland's likely priorities. The EU's priorities are different. In a negotiation, the side contributing 85% of the money generally gets most of what they want.

I've been just joining the forum but i have been following the discussion in the Polish threads for quiet a while. Most of the Polish i can understand but sorry for not writing in Polish. This would be horrible for everyone

My question is the A1 part between Stryków and Kowal. As we know the part C will not open so soon. How does it look for the rest of parts? Will they open despite the opening of section C? It would be not so bad cause the connection between the missing part via national roads is not so bad and actually it is only 15-20km. So, not that much.
And is it still valid that A, B and D will open beginning of July?

Furthermore, does anyone know how the time plan looks for DK1 in Włocławek?

Certainly but not to A4. To Pyrzowice exactly.
Here you can find planned progress...

What is the monthly salary for a Polish trucker? About 4000 - 4500 PLN?

At a guess, just over half that, 2500 PLN ish.
Just a guess, I doubt they earn 4000...

It depends of course if they work 40 hrs, or far more...

For those who drive in whole Europe and beyond it's certainly 4.000 PLN and more.
