Any news about if the A1 between Kowal and the A2 is opening to traffic tomorrow or not?

I doubt whether that is representative for the entire Walichnowy - Łódź corridor. Construction on the Walichnowy interchange started earlier than the rest of the route to Łódź.

IMO concrete surface is more eye-friendly while you driving for long distances.

The Kowal-Kutno North/Sójki section is 30 km long, Sójki-Kutno East/Kotliska 15,2 km, Kotliska-Piątek 9 km, Piątek-Stryków 21 km and Stryków junction 4,9 km. It is 80,1 km altogether. There is a mistake in news from GDDKiA.

Although hundreds of kilometers already have been added to the A-class and S-class road networks this year, it seems that there will be a few more openings before the end of the year. Amazing.

Just a random thought:

Is Poland considered a car country or one where trains and public transport dominate?

I mean, you have countries where it's highly car-dependent (like USA except New York/New Jersey), those where PT is present but have no urban rail (i.e. Croatia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Cyprus), those that have high usage of trains and PT (like Singapore or Hong Kong where >90% take PT)..........then of course you have countries where BOTH or ALL forms of transportation co-exist or are all important.......like Japan.

How about Poland?

Should I take trains and use public transport if and whenever I'm in Poland......or should I rent a car?
