Why is it taking so long to construct the second carriageway of S7 around Kielce?

There were some historical findings that ceased the construction for some time. I know they are almost done with the work now and we should be expecting opening of this stretch anytime now.

I have a question to foreigners. Do you find yellow, warning signs inconvenient and difficult to read, because there is a proposal for changing them to colors/scheme like in other European countries. Do you think its worth it?

I am against any changing. We have usually heavy, snowy winters and these yellow signs are working well in that conditions. Turning them to white backgrounded is just coping German standards in my opinion. Not worth any money and effort.

I rather see some redesign of directional signage. Especially on expressways (de-facto motorways), signage is too small. Overhead signage is the worst.

They are definitely too small. Especially signs on new expressways. They are supported by very fragile looking poles.

These overhead signs on that kind of poles in my opinion look worst, almost like can be blown away by any stronger wind:

But in my country also warning signs are yellow, but only when the road is in work. Yellow is more visible than white I think.

if you would use not so thin red edge, it would be well visible during the winter too.

That is a good example. Why they didn't put just side sign instead of overhead one? It looks ridiculous.

It will be good to see the rest of the S79 and S2 to Pulawska finally finished. There are no photos from June showing the construction progress of the S79 on its website

S79 - Warsaw. Thanks to toonczyk:

Węzeł Marynarska jest już częściowo otwarty, brakuje relacji S->W (która zresztą jest już prawie gotowa, pozostaje wykończenie).
Green - open for traffic
Blue - opening in 2 weeks
Red - opening in about 3 months
Pink - opening at the end of the year

S79 is basically ready, except for a few things missing on Marynarska interchange. It looks just like in the photo above all the way to Warszawa Południe (ex-Lotnisko) interchange, where it connects with S2. They won't open it until the whole S2 is ready, which should happen in 2-3 months.

S2 between Konotopa (A2, S8) and Al. Krakowska will open in ~2 weeks. East of Al. Krakowska they're also finishing it up, right now we're basically waiting for one delayed culvert (they only started building it 3 months ago because it turned out geotechnical conditions were different than expected and the design had to be changed). You can see what it looks like here.
