Vendors like that don't belong on de-facto motorways.

KSU, although it's merely but my summer location, thus not always does it find my way into forum locations.

And I'll be quite honest, that's where I found it after 20 minutes or so of Googling. Actually, for a while beforehand, I thought that it was DPK1693, but that's a slightly different part of the county...

I'll be damn lucky if I find my road, which also is a DGKxxxxxx. Otherwise, my road is DPW5305.
It's actually slightly interesting how some roads classify as DP or DG. For example, in Baczyn you've DPK1708 and right beside it in Harbutowice there's a DG that I also would've thought that is a DP, but is actually a DG - it's the road that goes through to Bieńkówka, so maybe because of the single-laneness it's a DG...

I would drive one way through Poland and the other through Germany
I always like to take different roads, even if some are a little longer.

When you drive the route they took, that actually makes a lot of sense. North through Germany, and back south through Poland...

Yeah, most people are so predictable. I don't say it's bad, but being different is also not bad. Making a vacation trip is not just sitting at a beach or on a mountain. It's also about seeing new places, taking different paths.

I am regarded as weird because I drive somewhere almost every weekend, where most people do shopping, clean their household or sit at home and rest because of the "exhausting" work week.

I find the majority prefer the quickest route, another large group prefer the most economical route, and few prefer a scenic route or simply one they haven't tried before.

I think you are right.

If I'm doing a day or weekend trip, I try to use different roads on leaving and returning. It also depends if I have to drive at night, then I would choose the comfortable/motorway. Many times I drive to my destination on non-motorway/picturesque or simply roads I haven't driven before and return on the quick road.

When doing a longer vacation trip, I try to find nice places on the way to stop and visit. For example in May I went home to Timisoara, but didn't take the classic Austria-Hungary road, but Poland, Slovakia and Hungary, and spent 3 days in Poland and one in Slovakia, it was great, and after 10 days home. On return I took the quicker choice, but also stopped middle of the way in Bratislava for one night.

For next year trip to RO, I'm thinking going Maribor-Zagreb maybe.

But I will end my off-topic here

The Kwidzyn Bridge opened to traffic today. It is the longest extradosed bridge of Europe (as measured by main span). Mr. Tusk himself opened the bridge.

Which is a horrible practice, roads should be opened when they're ready, not when some VIP finds time for an opening ceremony. Current government pledged to put this tradition of "official openings" to rest, now they seem to have resurrected it.

Do politicians in other countries do that too?

Just kiddin'. I do the same but my people already get used to it. I'm kind of night hawk , I love to drive at night specialy on long distances and previously unknown roads. Weird.
