3) A2 eastwards of Warsaw from Lubelska Intersection (end of S2) to existing bypass of Minsk Mazowiecki (16.6 km). This tender is for design only.

Nr 2 contract will be concrete or asphalt ?

Yes, this is design and build tender requiring following parameters of the road to be built in expressway standard (S):

1) Task A from Pulawska Intersection to Przyczolkowa Intersection (without the intersections) is 4.6 km and:

- 2x3 lanes for main road;

- 2x4 lanes for engereered objects (allowing for easy extension to 2x4);

- 2x4 in the tunnel (2.6 km), however first only 2x3 will be in operation; 2x4 will be without emergency lane;

2) Task B from Przyczolkowa Intersection to Wal Miedzeszynski Intersection (including the intersections and bridge over Vistula) is 6.5 km and:

- 2x3 lanes for main road;

- 2x4 lanes for engereered objects (allowing for easy extension to 2x4);

- 2x4 lanes on the bridge and estacades (2x5 on some parts);

3) Task C from Wal Miedzeszynski Intersection to Lubelska Intersection (including the latter intersection) is 7.5 km and 2x3 lanes (including estacades).

That "estakada" (elevated highway) is what I'm interested in. It could be the longest bridge in Poland?

There will be two estacades: one 1600 m long and the second 400 m long. Also the bridge will be extended by estacades, but I do not know what the total lenght of that will be.

I do not have exact data, but it seems to me that several bridges in Poland will be longer: in Gdynia, east of Łodz on A1 and in Gliwice on A1. Possibly Most Redzinski on A8 in Wroclaw combined with the eastern estacade will be also longer.

Don't forget Gdansk bypass with 2780 m long "estacade" (the longest in Poland).

Isn't DK91 Toruń misleading? Traffic to Toruń doesn't want to exit here at all, but rather closer to the city. There aren't any sizeable places between this exit and Toruń to sign for DK91 though.

Traffic to southern part of Toruń should exit here, since this junction will be closed after opening A1 to the south.

Aha, that explains it. Still, a pity that there isn't a more direct connection into Toruń at the A1/S10 interchange. This will be the main entrance into Toruń to and from the south, which means you have to exit a good 15 km before the actual city, while A1 runs right next to it.

Will they remove the toll plaza that is currently east of Toruń? Perhaps there could be one integrated ticket system from Gdańsk to Łódź (and perhaps even Gliwice).

Yes, it is a pity that they failed to design a proper entrance/exit for southern Toruń. It might be that there will be a connection between S10 and DK91 a little bit west of the existing A1/S10 interchange. But this won't happen that fast.

Originally it was planned to have a common system. That's why the toll plaza east of Torun (Nowa Wieś) was designed an built as a temporary one. Probably the reason why it is so small (huge traffic jams in the summer time), even though not understandable if temporary means a couple of years. Then the idea was canceled to have a common system and it was considered to have two toll plazas almost next to each other. After seeing the big problems at the existing toll plaza this summer, negotiation between GDDKIA and the private company GTC were re-started. Let's hope they find a solution, but could take forever. It's qiuet difficult in Poland to find comman agreements between different partys and establish one common system and interfaces. Best example is Gdansk where you have the tri-city train, public transport in Gdansk, in Sopot and in Gdynia and for each system you have to buy a different ticket

What about a possible interchange connecting the S10 with Stawki Południowe?

Better to sign Ostrava than Gorzyczki, in my opinion.

Why it has to be closed? Because of the toll system?

Yes, this is one reason. As it was not designed to implement toll gates here, there is also not really space for it.

Additionally due to lack of space and temporary design there are no acceleration lanes and the curve radius is not according highway standards. You can keep the intersection but have to declare this stretch as a non-highway and put low speed limits there as it is now.

Therefore the best idea would be to impelement an intersetion on the S10 after the toll gate. The idea of having an intersection between S10 and Stawki Południowe as it was suggested by mcarling is really making a lot of sense. Question is only how it will be handled with the restricted military training area which is in the way?
