Yeaah, it has to end finally.

Isn't our prime minister said that there'll be new legislation in this matter?

What if the noise were to disturb the trees so much that the trees became angry? Never mind the low probability, just consider how bad the consequences might be.

Poland builds/modernises A LOT of roads, including minor 1x2 roads. All must comply to the acoustic regulations. So they design sound barriers, because it is the easiest way...

Cars when fast (Polish way!) make noise. In some places like NL, they put tempo 80 and a section control. PL puts sound barrier and people can go 200 km/h without problems. It isn't ideal, but it is perhaps better!

I was surprised how fast people drove on the highways in Poland, I was slow at 160 km/h and wanted to go faster, but one of my passengers was getting a little nervous

On that picture there is one farm on the left, like miles away from the road itself and barriers start really far from those farm buildings.

If some more densely populated countries had the same rules when they built their roads there would be walls around most of the European roads.

You need noise barriers to conform to 50 dB(A) at such a distance. It will be over that limit without barriers, but just slightly. Most European countries have some kind of exemption to allow higher noise levels, precisely to avoid building the country full of noise barriers.

It is kind of odd, since there are the windturbines there. How loud are they?

Good point. It might be that the level of noise is high enough with the turbines not to let the road go barrier-free. Just a thought.
