9,8 km to be built in this contract, add the length of S19 at already finished junction Lublin-Sławinek (which cannot be opened until the rest of S19 gets finished).

Nobody here claimed it would be the world´s longest but thanks for the info anyway.

When the final piece of the S8 between Sieradz South and Łask opens early next year will the DK8 to the south lose it's status and just become a local gmina road? This is taking into account that it will form the northern bypasses for Belchatów and Wieluń

It’ll be 76 kilometers, give or take a few hundred meters. I cannot provide an accurate number as the exact route of the eastern bypass (S17) is still unknown. GDDKiA plans to apply for an environmental decision at the end of the year, January at the latest.

Just putting my few cents here about Warsaw ringroad. What I am concerned about is the shape of Warszawa ring. If you look at the map whole ring after is finished will not go all the way outside of city... It will go through northern part of city. I am wondering how much does it affects traffic volume of that part of ring. I think it will reach its capacity very soon and then... maybe will be a time to build something along blue line?

It seems like a 'medium' ring road to me. More like A86 in Paris than A10 around Berlin. Not exactly an inner ring road, but also not an outer ring road that goes all the way around the city.

Indeed, it is. It's quite clear when you take a look at this map (by SISKOM):

We are constantly assured by the government that it will be completed by the end of 2020.

That's rather a giant parking lot than a motorway .

I think that Vienna doesn't have one motorway which is ring road. But,they do have a lot of motorways which are making a ring road.

I am skeptical about that 2020. Simply too much to do in 5 years but southern part of ring should be finished in 3-4 years

S2 Warszawa

Do they plan to incorporate a space reservation for eight or ten lanes at the Ursynów Tunnel and bridges of S2? I have a feeling 2x3 lanes may not be sufficient in the long term. Because once you build a tunnel, you cannot widen it later.

They recently built a tunnel in the Netherlands with 2x3 lanes, but space for 2x5 lanes.

I found this:
http://www.drogi.waw.pl/index.php?nr=11
It looks like there will be no space for more than 6 lanes in tunnel. Only bridge across Wisla river is going to have 8 lanes

The tunnel will be 3 lanes x 3,50m + emergency lane 3,75m (which can serve as fourth lane in the future).
