Well, let's agree to disagree as I have completely different experience with the BMW drivers, both here in the UK and in Poland.

I would say that image of this brand appeals to "specific" kind of driver

I did learn to drive in Poland and I like some elements of Polish "driving culture". For example decent speeds on motorways, expressways and decent national roads.
On the other hand there are plenty of annoying and dangerous habits like overtaking almost everywhere (on blind curves, on the hills, at the intersections etc), lack of respect for pedestrians and cyclists, parking absolutely everywhere (patches of grass, pedestrians walkways), speeding in cities, general lack of respect for other drivers.

(I`m sorry I`m presnting Gazeta news)
The exact same thing happened to me when I was driving at evening (around 20.30) at A18/DK18 on the direction to Wroclaw. But it was with a van with German-registered plate. It was dark, I couldn't see a shit and the van had bad light. Suddenly he was behind me and I was driving on the left path (due to the slightly better road quality) at direction to Wroclaw. He started to horn so I switched the lane. Then suddenly this van started to drive in front of me and slowed his speed to 30 km/h. I was terrified and this was in the middle of the woods with no other vehicle around nor highway-lights. Fortunately he increased the speed and was gone.
He was probably angry because I kinda slowed him down so he wanted to upset me with a payback, but it was a terrifying experience that I had.
Lunatic's on roads are everywhere but this made me realise that I have to be extra careful when driving.

But this BMW driver is a complete imbecile, should be jailed for a couple of years and disallowed to ever drive.

There is nothing wrong with flashing your main beams though, this is allowed under the 1968 Vienna Convention on Road Signs and Signals, Article 28.
Outside of built up areas you are allowed to show drivers using optical signals that you are intending to overtake them.
Anyone with a bald head and a BMW probably should be locked up as a preventative measure. As for flashing the main beams - no-one minds a quick flash, but tailgating and flashing beams in an aggressive way - just no.

That's the real problem and not the brand of the car he drives. Sometimes somebody drives too close to my car. The cars are made by various brands, so it's definitively the driver, who's the problem.
I'm usually ignoring this, if I obey all rules. Then I break the law, because if he overtakes me on the motorway, I accelerate, too, making those mad people even more mad.

Especially this guy in the video is extremly dangerous. I hope he faces/faced a harsh penalty.

Sooner or later he will be beaten by someone. It is just a matter of time unless he kill himself in car accident before that...

That guy deserves to be shot (at least his car), or that is what people in Russia would do .

(look at 0:48!)

Enough of road rage and violence! What is needed is stricter laws and better enforcement for criminals behind wheel, nothing else .

What?! It's incredible to notice that this guy was not even arrested for that, and that the police "is going to submit to the court a request for a temporary driver's licence revocation" . After all, didn't he caused a pile up on an international motorway, forced all the traffic to stop, and put many lives at risk, just because of his bloody stupidity . How can such moron even afford such expensive car?
Would someone drove harmlessly a bicycle with 2 beers, he will get a much harsher punishment, stupid Polish law .

Russia and Canada have far less motorways than shown in that chart. Also, China has nearly double the amount of passenger cars per 1,000 inhabitants.

Canada has approximately 7,100 - 7,200 kilometers of motorway, Russia around 2,200 - 2,300 km, depending on what you count as motorway.

The United States has closer to 97,500 kilometers of motorway, and China in excess of 110,000 km.

Germany and France are also understated if you count 'expressways' (i.e. Autobahnšhnlich, voie express) which would bring the German total closer to 15,300 km and France to 14,800 km. The same goes for Italy and the United Kingdom.

Nearly no country shown is accurate, they are off by hundreds to thousands to even tens of thousands of kilometers.

Numbers for Turkey only include 3-laned, tolled highways (2127 kms).
But there are 22,254 kms. of expressways (separated lanes, mostly double lanes) also in use, as of 2012. More than 3,000 kms. were under construction or bidding and they expected to have 26,500 kms. in 2015. The target is 36,000 kms. in 2023.

So the number for Turkey should have been at least 24,300 kms.

The 1985 edition of the CIA World Fact Book stated that in 1983, the per capita GDP of East Germany finally surpassed that of West Germany.

I wonder what their definition of ''motorways and express roads'' is.
Especially the express road requirement ?

Does it mean grade separation ? Does it mean more than one carriageway ? Does it mean more than x lanes ? Etc...
