There is no S7 near Radom yet

The photo was taken near Grójec, which is 50 kilometers north of Radom.

To Zwardon on SK side there is a very narrow and low bridge or viaduct, so there is a 3,5t limit. No way
Glinka also has some t limit and it is real mountain pass. Forget it.

Best is Chyzne or Cesky Tesin through Svercinovec from SK thru CZ to Poland. The latter is chosen mostly if you are approaching from Zilina side and not Dolny Kubin/ Ruzomberok side( then Chyzne is the best)

Sounds about right. Bids for Radom bypass were finally opened yesterday. Dragados offered the lowest price and they are already building an adjoining section of S7 to voivodeships' border.

Apparently, this person hasn't understood the history of the country he's living on. That some cities/regions were German/Prussian/Holy Roman Empire for centuries until end of WWII, and not only "nazi" period .

Furthermore, they are some really well preserved "original RAB" in Poland, that you won't find anywhere else. That's a good piece of history, and are used by millions of motorists annually. Are they all "nazi's"?

A contract was signed today for constructing S51 from Olsztyn to Olsztynek. It’ll be a 13,3km expressway and will feature two interchanges. It’s a short yet important section that will connect with S7. Completion date: hopefully* May 2017.

*the constructor (Energopol-Szczecin S.A.) does not have a good reputation

Excellent news! I was wondering if the S51's construction would coincide with Olsztyn's quite ambitious ring road that's also planned?

Construction of Olsztyn ringroad (the southern half) should start in late 2015.

I well understand the history of my country. The pictures you posted were not taken in holy roman empire, but in the third reich in 1930's which oppresive and racist government ordered to build them.

Which are now in Poland. Don't take it personally, these roads are very interesting to many Polish people too. Even my wife is aware of them - she is always commenting on the A4's 'features' between Wrocław and the A18 junction, as well as the mess that is DK18 southbound.

Yes, Poland moved further to the West. Thanks to that, Poland had the benefit of having Autobahns before many other Western countries, such as France, Spain or Switzerland .

Indeed, at that time many nations, including Poland, have planned a motorway network, and the concept and road scheme were already developed in the 1920's, which means it wasn't a "nazi" invention.

Planned motorways in the Second Polish Republic, 1938:

We still "dream" of it today :-)!

However, the first country to give a deep input to its realization and completed the first true motorway network in the world were Germans during nazi rule. It's was used mostly for propaganda purpose, and they managed to open nearly 1'000 kilometers of RAB each year, prior to the war - in the 1930's!. An amount that even in 2015 would make still a lot of jealous in Europe; imagine that Kopacz announce "we will build 1'000 km of motorways annually" . Motorways that are still used today, and still makes many people dream of having those !

On the other hand, I regret that Germans haven't finished the Breslau-Wien extraterritorial highway, and the Berlinka, which would be very useful today, as there is no motorway/expressway that crosses Poland on the North, and won't probably be for decades, nor there is a continuation in Western Poland to Southern Europe .
A northern A4 would just be a dream .
As for the last one, I regret that they invaded Poland for this reason and didn't even built it .
