As for ideological issues many things should not be described and reminded. But I guess it's wrong way. It's undeniable that whole current western Poland was eastern Germany before WWII and each progress then was the contribution of Germans. It's just the history - not any propaganda. I'm personally pissed off any tries to connect pre-war history of that land with fascism, that should make the history shamely. Political matters were going and the progress too, each in its own way.

Time to say definitely: it's ours, but built by them.

What about S6? It will be completed around 2020.

As far as I know, the S6 is planned to go only from the German border to Gdansk, not to cross Poland to any eastern border.

S92 does not exist in reality The technical grade of the"92" Tarnowo Podgórne-Poznań is close to the expressway. Location : https://www.google.pl/maps/dir/52.45.../data=!3m1!1e3

No, it’s not. This is what happens when you mindlessly copy & paste. The author loosely suggested upgrading the existing section of DK92. The road itself is grade-separated, limited-access and it would only acquire fences although there are some interchanges too close to each other.

I don't see any speed limit signs, so I guess it's 100 km/h.

Poland > Montenegro (Tivat)

Hi there, we are planning a trip to Montenegro in April-May this year and would like to ask for advice...

What would be the best option to choose in terms of the overall time/traffic/construction works/conditions?

1. Terespol > Warzaw (via E30) > E67/8/S8 (Mszczonów, Rawa Mazowiecka, Tomaszów Mazowiecki, Częstochowa, Katowice) > A1-1 (Ostrava, Olomouc, Brno) > E461> Wien, Graz> Maribor > Zagreb, Karlovac, Split...
htt ps://goo.gl/maps/N4fP5

2. Sławatycze > Włodawa > Piaski > Janów Lubelski > Rzeszów > Prešov (82-19-73-68)> Košice > Miskolc > Budapest > Zagreb .....
htt ps://goo.gl/maps/QmJ29

I'm particularly interested in comparing Poland and regional roads part of the route as I know there may be lots of construction works on the first option..
Terespol-Warsaw-Katowice vs. Sławatycze-Prešov-Miskolc (no motorways) Also I have no idea on how fast Sławatycze-Košice could be vs. Warsaw-Katowice...

As for the rest - I'm very familiar with the Terespol-Warsaw (E30) and most of the motorways in both options (apart from Slovakia) ... Have travelled a lot via Hungary, Slovenia, Austria in the past..
But this would be first time taking a "shortcut" from BY-PL border to Zagreb...

Both options are calculated with nearly the same overall time around 20,5H, but the first one is faster but longer (+100km)

Will really appreciate your advice considering the current/expected status of the road network development and traffic in Poland (April 2015)
Thanks!

Option 1 - only 5 km of roadworks on DK8 near Warsaw

Option 2 - no roadworks, but some of these regional roads around Lublin are in BAD condition

Definitely the first option. Majority of the route in Poland would be done on 2x2 roads, which actually are being built to use at such trips But if you're not interested in sightseeing Katowice (but actually the city is worth staying for a moment, but as for what - that should be said in another thread) take S1 after Częstochowa (at Podwarpie interchange) and then A1. It's much shorter and faster.

To answer your question, it depends whether you want to take your time and do a lot of sightseeing or if you want to get quickly to Montenegro. It also depends how long you are planning to stay in this part of Europe
If you want to take some local roads while doing sightseeing - at least between Poland and Croatia - I can advice

No sightseeing is planned on this part of the route.
Just looking for the optimal choice and compromise between comfort and time required.
