Google has actually already "removed" it. Seems that it will take lots of time to reopen it again for traffic... (visible only on maximum zoom levels)

We are still awaiting official detailed report on damages suffered by the bridge. It is supposed to be ready on Friday. However, today City of Warsaw officials announced that we should not expect optimistic news and that they are discussing the need for a complete overhaul of the bridge.

The bridge and skyway on the left bank of Vistula were in bad shape anyway, but overhaul of the construction was planned after completion of S2 expressway bridge (Warsaw southern bypass).

Therefore, my personal expectation is that we will have to live without the Łazienkowski Bridge as long as till 2017.

2017 is the most realistic date for opening of the renovated Łazienkowski Bridge. First to do is project, then tender. It takes time.

Will that part of the A1 be 2x3 all the way?

close, on the east side is 2x2 DK1, so there's no need to build 2x3

Maybe there will be a wide median for future widening.

Looking at Google satellite, Why are trees already cutted from Pyrzowice to Wozniki? Were works already started in the past and then suspended?

You can't cut trees during breeding season.

Sometimes they cut trees years before actual construction. If I remember correctly they had cut the trees for A2 in western Poland several years before construction began.

All the trees were cutted on this section around the year 2007. It was preaparations to construtcion in the PPP. Then the PPP tender was cancelled.

What's the expected AADT on that section of A1?

AADT in 2010 on this section of DK1 was 35-40k.
If we assume that traffic has increased since then, and also take into account that some of the local traffic will stay on DK91, then the result shouldn't be much different from the figures in 2010

Thanks. I agree your calculation. 2x2 is adequate, wide median too.

Early results of the expertise: due to heavy damage, the steel construction of Łazienkowski Bridge will have to be replaced (using the existing pillars). It is believed to be the fastest way (also cheaper than a renovation) but it may take up to several months to do so – it’s too early to determine. Estimated cost: 100-130 million zł (24-31 million euro).
