You must be kidding, there is something terribly wrong with this picture, that can't be in Poland! A new road just opened on a very densely populated urban area...where are all the noise barriers ?

Will the new Radom south bypass be numbered as part of DK12 and the existing DK12 running through the centre of Radom becomes a gnima road?

The new south bypass doesn't seem to have a road number at all on any map

It's not part of DK12 and it doesn't have a number.
It will probably become a DW.

It was discussed but not that much: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showth...+uste&page=489

Thinking of the Tłuste "case", I suppose that the villagers wanted some form of compensation or a new relocation for the A2 motorway and new DW being built in their surroundings, but some dude from the local politics wanted to be smarter than them and give them in exchange "Tłusty Wtorek" (Mardi Gras), along making huge profits for the noise barriers company and not giving the "victims" a peanut . By the way, they are now completely "imprisoned" in their possessions by these walls . It doesn't surprise me at all, knowing some practice taking place in these spheres full of arrogance, lies and superiority complex towards their own people, with latent and daily base corruption, bureaucracy and his rules for ordinary citizens being their privileged weapons .

It might be due to English not being my native tongue but I have not a clue what are you trying to say in this sentence.

Those barriers are there due to silly rules and zero flexibility or common sense of the Polish officials of most levels. They are all scarred of control from the higher level so the best decision is always not to make any meaningful decision on your own, just sheepishly follow the herd

I read in Rzecspospolita the other day that the noise barriers were no longer required for areas that were just "zoned for future development" but were still undeveloped forests and farmland. I cross my fingers!

hahaha.... the law was passed long time ago lowering super high noise standards but still noise barriers are growing in random places all over the places...like nothing happened....it is obvious that it is too much money involved in construction of these barriers...someone has to make profit on it.

So what is the future for that bridge? Is it going to be restored for any kind of traffic any soon or it is going to be just permanent museum/landmark object?

It is funny, in western Montreal area there is a city that is fighting to *get* noise barriers on a highway. The highway was built in 2x2 expressway around 1947, and became the current 2x2 freeway in 1966. The houses near the road were made in 1950's. But now they are complaining and want the barrier They were saying they wanted the barrier or for them to change the 100 km/h speed limit to 70 km/h.

The funny part is the railway next to the highway is much louder but the city is suing the road ministry instead...

The problem there is the cost of repair bays. Currently, it takes an order for renovation bays. What is needed is approx. 7 millions euro.

Junction Żuławy West, which is currently the eastern end of the southern bypass of Gdansk (S7). Construction permit for the second missing part to Elbląg (direction Warsaw) was released today.

Approximately all of the progress is attributable to improved roads, mainly the construction of motorways and expressways.
