Why build concrete roads that in practice can not be widened with a very expensive* (inside lane) third lane reserve (that was designed in, in order to enable road widening)?

Dishonest lobbying?

* Land costs are very small costs of inside lane third lane reserve, most expensive is the necessity of building all brides and viaducts with third lane already in place.

Who says that they can not be widened?
It would just be an evident waste of money to widen a motorway just a few years after it was opened.

This is not Radom bypass, but section south of Radom.

Yes, a new piece of what will form S7 from just south of Radom to the existing S7 at Skarzysko-Kamienna

What's the actual situation with S8 construction from Marki to Radzymin outside Warsaw?

Seen some pictures of one section by guys who used DK631 to bypass Warsaw while on the way from Lithuania. Judging by the current construction state, the opening date of July 2017 seems not realistic.

There is going to be a 7.6 km gap in Skarżysko-Kamienna due to unsolved bureaucratic/environmental issues.

Yes, it seemed unrealistic from the very beginning.
But the delay shouldn't be long. Who knows, maybe they somehow will manage to meet the deadline...

They should build, at least, a bypass of Radom...

It's a similar problem as with Częstochowa on the DK1.

I guess that already finished part as in the picture would be a one of the shortest stretches of expressways built .Correct me if I am wrong but it was built as a part of S8 contract...

It may be so

One carriageway of A1 between A2 and DK14 was built some years in advance and it was under traffic from then. Because when A2 from Konin reached Stryków, the people living there were protesting against high traffic through the centre of their town (of the cars leaving A2 which ended at the Stryków exit and then going DK14 and the current DK92 to Warsaw), so a section of A2 to the junction with A1 and one carriageway of A1 to DK14 was quickly built to make the transit traffic bypass the town.

It is longer, but if you count the length in terms of carriageways, it may be even shorter.

A construction permit was issued for a section of S17 motorway (Warszawa - Lublin):

S17: Garwolin-South - Ruda 25.2km (March 2017 to April 2019) – project 1, project 2 map

(Actually there are 2 sections, but since they are adjacent, have the same deadline and will be constructed by the same company, we can wrap them up.)

In other news, drilling starts on the longest road tunnel in the country – part of S7 Zakopianka. Check out the complexity of the terrain (Carpathian Flysch Belt):

TBM or not is a topic of the geologic condition of the hill/mountain

TBM works best in solid massive rock, if you try to use a TBM in a very soft rock area it wont work and get stucked

Well they used it for the tunnel under the Vistula river in Gdańsk, where the soil is very soft and wet...
