"Hello, my car broke down, can you come please?"
"Sure, where are you?"
"On the A4, near Jedrzysomething"
"Where did you say?"
"Hold on, we'll push our car till the next exit"

It's never just PL, that would indeed make no sense, always two ovals. PL and D next to each other means a Polish-German border crossing, in this case called Jędrzychowice. They also have just one oval (not PL, of course), like D, next to Berlin, for example, but they aren't particularly common.

I find it funny because all other countries just use country codes where the motorway is heading. If there are more or them they also write them next to each other and it's not meaning border crossing. In Graz you have like 6 of those ovals.

I agree with Verso, why would they only do 'PL'? Nice way of writing Kosice, btw

There should be Slovak version imo, but we should be happy that they even put Kosice instead of putting just Barwinek (PL) (SK)

Koszyce pronounce very similiar to Kosice, so maybe it is easier to tolerate? Slovakian after those few years separated from czechian gets a bit closer to polish i would observe. Sometimes I watch slovakian TV and hear a real difference from czechian.

On this road (Rzeszów - Barwinek - Koszyce) there are also the signs which show only Slovak version The word has even the Slovak ' š ' letter :P

I've just seen this sign (with 'Košice' ) today while driving from Rzeszów to Sanok . We can only discuss where's the consequence in the signage. Personally, I'm used to its lack cause I live in Poland

You mean Slovak language was separated few years ago from Czech and now it's getting closer to Polish?

Yeah, that's a crazy idea

I've got both czech and slovak as a mother language and i don't see any change in it. The only difference is that children have problems to understand each other but this barrier disappears with their age... Teenagers have hardly any problems to understand each other.

Polish is close to Slovak because it has almost the same declination suffixes, which differs from czech, but vocabulary is really different

And enough with off-topic!

How are the works on S69 going? Any updates on tunel Laliki?
