There is a well known part of Warsaw called Praga so it might be confusing too

I can't believe it. What a great news! Will it totally disappear? And will Swiecko also disappear?

Anyway:

Well, Berlin and Dresden will be probably only added, but who knows?

So that means that all of the signs which have already been put up on the A4and A18 motorways will have to be taken down and replaced in the spring? What a waste of money and time!
I doubt that Swiecko will be altered to Berlin though!

Well, they wouldn't have changed them if not for our (SSC) actions

As for these names - we cannot make them get rid of border crossing names, as they are mentioned in acts.

A question of 3+3 lanes motorways, guys.

Could you please tell, which sections of present, or planned motorway network are going to be constructed as 3+3. As far as I know, Drogowa Trasa Srednicowa in Katowice and Krakow A4 bypass are already 3+3. From the constructed, or planned sections, A2 Strykow-Konotopa, possibly with reserve for the 4th lane, then A1 Strykow-Pyrzowice and Pyrzowice-Gorzycky. Poznan bypass due to high traffic should be in the near future widened to 3+3 as well.

Only its northern part is 2x3(can be seen on Google Earth)

A2 Stryków - Konotopa will be 2x3 only on some section(don't know how long), but defiitely without 2x4 reserve. Only S2 Warsaw northern bypass will be 2x3 with 2x4 reserve.

A2 Łódź - Warszawa will be 2x2 from Stryków to Pruszków and 2x3 from Pruszków interchange area to Konotopa interchange. All with reserve between the carriageways for additional one lane in each direction.

Regards,

Northern part doesn't exist yet (southern does and is 3+3), but I think you know that

You already got the answer by yourself

BUT drogowa trasa średnicowa is not a motorway. It's just GP class road. I made a map but I'm not 100% sure about what I marked.

And what's important: ALL expressways will be finally dual carriageways (each got or will get a reserve for full profile), ALL motorways usually do have 3 lane reserve.

OK, but it would be in every other country.

This is very wise to do. When traffic volumes suddenly rise, like happened in the Netherlands, there is a possibility for a third lane that can be constructed fairly quickly.

Good map, thank you and others for the answer. Sponsor, just to make sure, A1 Strykow-Pyrzowice will be 2x3 as well. Seems to be logical, as a good part of the motorway will be the extension of existing DK1, which could be on the limits of its capacity.

Interesting is also, that almost every major city /Trojmiasto, Poznan, Cracow, Wroclaw, Katowice agglomeration, of course Warsaw/ have or will have 3+3 bypass.
