Honolulu looks like a midget version of Hong Kong

Great pics, 1slowTSX. Thanks for posting, and keep posting if you get the chance. I never get tired of Honolulu. It's definitely one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

More random images of Honolulu that I took today.

Citizens waiting for the bus at the bus stop.

Busy day in Honolulu.

Honolulu has about five Macy's department stores, I'm guessing more than any other U.S. city.

A photo that I took off the Aloha tower, very beautiful.

A section of Honolulu's shipping ports, right off Downtown Honolulu.

A picture of the H1 freeway in the late evening.

Some neighborhood such as Kahala, average homes are around 1.5 million and up, for condominium around 400,000 - 700,000 dollars (that if you don't want a studio). There's tons of pet house for million + dollars if you have the money. Hawaii as a state is somewhat expensive place to live but in return, you'll living in a safe, clean city that offers a lot to do. The only real downside of living in Honolulu is the food, expect to pay 25 - 50% more than North American states.

For example, you could get this same brand of ice cream in San Francisco for 2.50 but in Honolulu, 8.00 dollars. Its better to buy local here.

Spent three weeks in Pearl last summer. I love it every single time I'm there! Some amazing photos in this thread as well! If you are planning on visiting and haven't, make sure you try the Dole Pineapple Plantation. The pineapple float is fresh and unbelievable!

Lived in Hawaii for 18 years and love it to this day...I love seeing the new towers with blue and green glass...The old grey and white concrete towers of the 60's and 70's are very aged...Most of them built by Asian Developers. The newer towers fit in much better...Great Photos!!

Yes Honolulu is an amazing city, very modern and tons of things to do. Its awesome to see the most isolated city in the world so modernly built up and heavily populated (nearly a million citizens in Honolulu's metro). Pictures of Honolulu's building constructions are quite rare on this site due to only a small number of Forumers are from Honolulu.
