what a stupid comment greeks jeolous and say istanbul built by greeks. it is very normal some buildings built by other nation.
for example most beautiful architacture example ( we can see rarely in Athens) Athens Olympic Stadium Diseng by Spanish arcitect Santiago Calatrava Valls.

Well I'm making some points for neorion who won't stop ruining our threads... and those are pictures of general views of your cities.. city centers etc.. two of them were even posted by Greek members at other threads... but I will edit them since I believe I've made my point...

neorion... What a fanatic guy you are...

Talk openly. Do you mean Istanbul is a Greek city and Greeks built everything?

Can you show this interest to Selanik please. And could you please open a Selanik thread about Turkish buildings and mosques (if you find any after you burnt all of them) at least you can see how free Greek minorities of Istanbul were.

If you could show interest to Greek cities as much as you show Turkish cities, Greece could have better threads maybe.

BTW, most of the church photos you post are taken by me.

ıt's your turn. Take some mosque photos from Selanik and represent to us.

At the end I will post the archieve of university by scaner. Is it what he wants?

I mean enough is enough!. what's the point of those pics in a thread called Urban Istanbul!! We can post the photos of many magnificient Ottoman mosques and they are all architectural masterpieces that will easily diminish his silly Greek pride in a second... What doesn he trying to prove? that Greeks built some freakin churches in Istanbul? Who opposed to that? I mean congrats and just leave us alone with our threads, take your complexes elsewhere...

Istanbul and Constantinople is not the same city. Constantinople is a tiny spot in Istanbul. Maybe it's only % 2-3 of the todays Istanbul.

Ottoman College Fener for Greeks

Those buildings, all of them, were built by Ottomans not Greeks. BTW, the churches you've posted is contrary to the Greece's offical state history which says Greeks couldn't have been practicing their religion because of Ottoman opression which is bullshit. Those churches and theologh college was built by Ottomans.

Thanks for spoiling a wonderful thread! Maybe you haven't noticed it yet but this thread is about urban lifestyle in Istanbul and not architectural origins. There are many other forums to discuss this topic. Your making a bad name of your countries both Turkey and Greece.

nerion it is shown us Turkey respect and tolerant the all nation and religion. we dont destoreyed old greek buildings. although eu and your country adduce turkey has a poor human rights

but your country is one of the eu country. and u adduce we have a higher human rights. but i think not. u destroyed all ottoman buildings not respect turks who live in thracia. and denied to chracterized them to be turk.

i think u must not blow those buildings (in istanbul) built by greeks u must be ashamed not to protect ottoman places (in athens or selanik).
