8/10...It's a great old classic, but like others pointed out a little too dirty, and the top isn't all that great.

Naptown...
I'm serious. I consider the Terminal Tower one of the quintessential skyscrapers that other towers can only aspire to be.
What's going on in Indy. Y'all should be very proud of the "retail revival" in your downtown, not to mention all the other developments in your city. Kudos to Indianapolis! one of the world's next great cities? |

I hate these church/scraper combinations.
....no wait: I'd hate them if only I wouldn't have to laugh so much when seeing them. 3/10 |

7.5/10 - The spire, or everything above the first big setback, from what I can see, is well done - it blends its component parts harmoniously, and rises gracefully to the sky.
The problems are with the main mass of the tower - that heavy cornice at the set back seems to kill the height, and, along with the columns supporting arches don't harmonize with the columns supporting pediments of the spire quite as well as they might. And the tower, while it is slim enough, and not really ugly, is a bit bland. It also seems to illustrate what I see as the main limination of Beaux Arts as applied to skyscrapers - the classical, Greco-Roman style on which Beaux Arts is based is not really vertical, so it can only go so high before looking forced and stretched - after all, how many layers of columns can you pile on top of each other?

hmm I find that it is really skinny and a little gaudy for my tastes...I give it a 7 because at the same time it has an ok design going on
