posts here are drifting towards stupidity...
It´s right, it was a bit too brave to call warszawa´s skyline the best in europe, but it is on the right track and definitifely more interesting than rotterdam!

Yes. I still remember the Virgin Megastore in Frankfurt. Its selection was worse than WOM (back then, nowadays WOM has become worse too). The only reason I visited Virgin was when I was looking for Anime videos which at that time were not so main stream.

Justme's problems with Frankfurt are due to the following underlying reasons:

1) He has little interest in German culture. This make 80% of the offerings in shops uninteresting for him. Vice versa he is looking for specialities he knows from his home culture and these are naturally scarce in Frankfurt.

2) He seems to largely rely on public transport. But unfortunately many of the large shops and centers are outside of Frankfurt city proper and hard to reach by public transport. Due to its multi-centric structure, the Rhein-main area largely forces you to use a car to get around.

One should also not forget that Germany has been going through a decade of exceptionally bad economic growth while in surrounding contries consumption and growth was going up like crazy. Reasons for this are complex but I think we will see a great next decade for Germany as many of the problems that have piled up in other European countries during their boom cycle don't exist here. Money and investments now begin to flow back into Germany as more and more people realize that this country has been left aside for no good reason.

a new pano of yesterday, unfortuantely it was a bit foggy in Frankfurt, but one can see clearly the changes in the skyline. Small Compactcams are not as good as Big Digital ones, which i do not have anymore but anyway:

Fantastic stuff, newfvgffm! You got quite some skills there.

But shouldn't this thread be moved to "Urban Showcase"?
