The history of development of European motorway network

Does anyone know if there is an interactive website like the following, concerning Poland? :

http://nowedrogi.pl/autostrady.htm

If not, it would be worthwhile to create one, starting off with Milan-Varese or AVUS to see when it became possible to travel across the EU, say from Lisbon to Kopenhagen, Budapest or elsewhere distant at the far end of the Continent?

I know them only from Poland, Netherlands (my site) and Great Britain (cbrd). Making one for Europe ? I wish you a lot of success.

the development and completion of European Motorway Network - a project

If possible, could you give me the links to NL and GB interactive websites like the Polish one?
Btw, a very good motto - PL seems to be rich enough not to have good roads 21 years after the fall of the communism - our favourite summary is "somehow it will be"

Bulgaria:

Oops, there's none... I forgot for a second that our motorways lack any kind of maintenance...

Not all countries have documented their motorway openings all that well. For instance from the Netherlands, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Poland, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Slovenia, Hungary, Czech Republic, Portugal, Slovakia, Romania, United Kingdom, Ireland, Austria and Croatia nearly all motorway openings are known. But not for countries like Spain, Italy, Norway, Switzerland, Russia, Finland, Greece, Turkey, Cyprus and Bulgaria. Especially Spain is lacking (which has approximately 18% of all European motorways).

Well, I do hope that it is possible to retrace the history of openings in the depths of the archives of Ministries of Transport or Infrastructure of the abovementioned countries.

Could you give the links to sites you mention, please?

To sum up, we have some sketches of proposed History of development of European Motorway Network. Hopefully, the project will be developed, as I see it as worthwhile doing.

I should be very nice if they could make the CBRD Motorway Database for all over Europe.

I have collected motorway openings for nearly every European country I could find. This includes the Netherlands, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Luxembourg, Germany, France, Austria, Portugal, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Slovenia, Denmark, Sweden and Finland.

I processed them on the Dutch-language wegenwiki. I also keep track of new motorway openings there.

Amazing website! I didn't know they had a motorway in Albania! Wish the Wegenwiki were in English!

They have a lot, but not all of the German openings.

Switzerland on the other hand has extremely few info on motorway completions. I managed to made a guesstimate of some sections of the system using maps and old news posts.

I already mentioned them. Is it so hard to visit those sites and find out yourself ?
However, here you are:

You have a few mistakes for Slovenia, but that's Dars' fault for not being precise enough.

A nice diagram of US Interstate system over the decades:

Wish we, Europeans were able to create a similar or even better, more detailed, interactive one
