(1) Chicago

(2) New York City

(3) Toronto

(4) Vancouver

(5) Houston

personally, I think New York because it is not just Midtown, there is the finical district and the rest of lower Manhattan, Brooklyn and now growing Jersey City and Long Island city.

Fantastic aerials of NY and CHI Kev.

1. Gold medal to Chicago. Obviously.

2. Silver to NY. The only competitor and NY in second just shows how good CHI is.

3. Vancouver and Seattle tie in the West Coast showdown.

Love that aerial of Chic-town, KevD; it's not called the "City of Big Shoulders" for nothing! Even with the Freedom Tower going up, Chic-town will always hold the number one spot. Here is a collection of proposals and buildings being constructed in Chic-town:

well Chicago is considered the worlds best skyline, it has been ranked number 1 for quit some time even right now then new york comes 2nd, someone should make a Poll for the best skyline

Chicago has an amazing skyline, but it's not the world's best, by far. It may rank top 5 or top 10. Not #1 though. NYC kicks its ass.

Toronto's skyline really isn't that big at all and Vancouver's skyline is marred by ugly residential buildings (although it has some great density).
